VP Finance Risk Officer (Hybrid)
The Finance Risk Officer in this role is a professional who manages the strategic financial risk framework in Non-Trading Market Risk (NTMR) by applying a deeper understanding of market developments, risk policies and data model analytics. The job requires basic commercial awareness and interaction with cross-functional subject matter experts. Well-developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide and influence colleagues. This role includes significant impact in NTMR through complex deliverables, advisory and counsel related to the risk management policies. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Risk Policy and Procedures for Non-Trading Market Risk (NTMR), focusing on limit management, breach escalation and remediation, control framework, alignment with Risk Appetite, and independent assurance reviews.
- Interact with international counterparts for policy approval and adherence to Global/Regional Policy requirements. Work with counterparts from Business, Treasury, Operations, & Technology to ensure accurate policy implementation.
- Provide risk analytics for the purpose of monitoring and making policy adjustments. Responsible for the regular review and assessment of the risk models through collaboration with treasury teams.
- Perform process and control testing of first line activities by assessing design and operating effectiveness of the overall processes in accordance with policy.
- Drive key strategic projects for improvement of governance and controls for NTMR.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years' experience in Statistics/Analytics/Decision Management will be desirable
- Highly ethical and with integrity
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Able to work across levels in risk management and other teams
- Excellent presentation skills – adept at presenting effectively to audiences of various sizes and adapting style as necessary
- Able to identify and influence key decision makers across various levels and functions within the organization
- Able to work in a rapidly changing external environment and support business in a highly competitive and challenging market
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
