The Stress Testing Team is responsible for delivering Stress Testing related solutions to Citi’s risk & finance organization which manages Citi’s exposure to financial institutions, governments, and corporates that trade with Citi. The team engineers, builds, and maintains software used to compute metrics that help mitigate Citi’s exposure to counterparty default & help meet regulations like CECL, GSST, IFRS9, CCAR.

What will you do?

As a Lead Software Delivery Manager, you will be an individual contributor responsible for leading development team/s and managing the delivery of project/s across the board. This includes:

  • Guide and mentor development team/s, fostering a culture of customer satisfaction and ownership across multiple systems, while championing and implementing design and coding best practices aligned with Citi and industry standards.

  • Establish and maintain efficient team processes, integrating Citi's best practices and procedures to streamline development workflows.

  • Actively contribute to hands-on coding, proof-of-concept development (leveraging AI tools where appropriate), technical architecture reviews, and problem-solving, embracing a servant leadership approach to assist the team with technical challenges.

  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with senior stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Front Office, and external regulators to ensure successful project execution across the Capital spectrum.

  • Mentor and support the professional growth of team members, continuously improving software engineering practices within the team.

  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, effectively collaborating with teams to design, build, and deliver high-quality software that meets and exceeds client expectations.

  • Manage project scope, timelines, and resources to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive project plans, including identifying key milestones, dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders through regular project meetings and progress reports to stakeholders and upper management.

Basic Requirements:

  • 12+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a technical leadership role, leading and mentoring software development team/s.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated project management experience, leading complex technical project/s and delivery.

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field or related experience.

  • Graduate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or Finance disciplines.

  • Broad experience in relational and document databases, data structures, caching, and reporting.

  • Experience developing enterprise-grade applications using Java 8/JEE (and higher), NoSQL, Spring, among other tools.

  • Proficient at working with large and complex code bases.

  • Ability to be metrics/data-driven and have a bias for action and result delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the financial industry, specifically in Credit Risk & Market Risk Capital domains.

  • Technologies and tools: Java, Web / Restful service development, Angular, JSON, Python, SQL, Build tools.

  • Experience in event-driven design of Microservices and 12-factor app development standards.

  • Experience building modern enterprise applications and deploying to public or private clouds, including AWS.

  • Experience in distributed cache systems like Apache Ignite or Redis.

  • Experience in big data platforms and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, Presto/Starburst, Spark, and Kafka.

  • Experience in Spring Framework and Cloud Computing for both batch and real-time high-volume data processing.

  • Experience in understanding complex SQLs and exposure to Database Design Concepts, including Data Modeling, Logical/Conceptual Design.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
