Data Quality Engineer (Hybrid)

The DQ Product Lead is accountable for delivery of critical data management capabilities at the enterprise level in Citi. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions, with accountability for delivery to one or more businesses / geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required to successfully articulate industry best practices that align with Citi Data Governance policies and standards to a diverse group of senior leaders, technologists and operations subject matter experts. Shall be responsible to develop high level architecture and designs, develop data models and ability to create quick proto-types or conduct POCs to demonstrate solutions. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area and shall be responsible to coordinates actions by a team or multiple teams.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the product roadmap, and clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes throughout the company
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Develops strategies and guidelines for the definition and maintenance of Data Profiling, Data Quality Rules, configuration, and implementation of Data Quality controls.
Develop strategies for effective monitoring, dispositioning and remediation of DQ breaks using automation based on trends and predictive triggers
Fully understands strategies and guidelines for the definition and maintenance of Business Glossaries, and Data Quality Requirements (DQR).
Fully understands strategies and guidelines around data ownership, data at rest and in motion, and data models including Conceptual, Logical and Physical views.
Fully understands strategies and guidelines around the designation of Authority Roles for Systems of Record and Authorized Redistributors (SOR/AR) for data offerings.
Directs and approves the development of business requirements for line of business (LOB) specific and enterprise-wide capabilities supporting DQ and communicates such requirements to appropriate technology teams via key business requirements, or related means including agile methodology.
Develops training programs to assist LOB groups in utilization and adoption of tooling capabilities addressing DQ.
Oversees data integration and metadata migration activities and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for DQ tooling functionality delivery.
Approves moderately complex dashboards and reports to satisfy management oversight of DQ within the rollout of the Data Operating Model (DOM).
Applies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures around Enterprise Data Taxonomy and Controlled Vocabularies within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
Works with Project Management Office (PMO) to maintain, create and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
Responsible for reporting findings, and recommending appropriate technology interventions, where needed.

Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Business Management/Engineering
Experience leading data initiatives in Engineering and Data Governance roles in a financial institution
Exposure to working on-prem and cloud data solutions, including ETL
Experience in Data Engineering technologies and programming languages
Ability to apply AI/ML tools and techniques to help accelerate and automate current business process
Extensive experience working with engineers and developers to jointly develop design and data models to deliver solutions
Strategic, results-driven leader who is passionate about designing best-in-class digital experiences and staying at the forefront of cutting edge technology in the servicing space
Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

$60,800.00 - $263,760.00
