Compliance Data Quality Lead (VP) - Governance
The Chief Data Office within the Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) function oversees the end-to-end data “ecosystem” including data governance, architecture, standards, controls, metrics, Data Concern Resolution Management (DCRM), reporting and risk management. Objectives include improving data governance and management; defining and maintaining the data architecture and standards; increasing business and functional engagement; improving data comprehensiveness, quality and coverage; reducing the inventory of data issues; and accelerating data access and validation for new projects.
The team partners with subject matter experts in Compliance, Compliance Technology, the Enterprise Chief Data Office and other groups to drive strategy and remediate concerns.
The Data Quality Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role responsible for leading and overseeing the remediation of data concerns and issues within ICRM. The lead works closely with various departments to identify, analyze and resolve data related problems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Strong background in data management, data governance and problem-solving will be needed for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business units to understand data-related problems and assist with developing effective controls.
- Collaborate with appropriate business stakeholders to implement data quality controls and processes .
- Responsible for establishing and enforcing Data Quality Controls policies within ICRM Chief Data office team
- Conduct regular data quality assessments of the controls and work with staff members as needed.
- Monitor and report on the progress of data quality controls to senior management.
- Provide guidance and support to business units on data management best practices to prevent data concerns.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on the controls when needed .
- Monitor audit requests and draft responses as they relate to ICRM data controls.
- Support ICRM Assessment Unit (AU) including control performance and centralized testing of controls.
- Recommend improvements to MCA control and monitoring definitions to make them more efficient, effective, and globally consistent.
- This role may require other job duties and functions to be performed, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years experience in Data Management and Governance preferred
- 5 years of relevant experience preferably in Financial Services, financial crimes
- Familiarity with the MCA process and Risk & Controls system preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite Experience (Excellent with PowerPoint presentations)
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
- Excellent relationship management, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to partner and set direction for communications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Adaptable, flexible, and able to respond to changes in priorities
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of – and experience providing – timely, high-quality, insightful data analytics and reporting under tight deadlines and among multiple competing deliverables, with flexibility to prioritize workload accordingly
- Intellectually curious, consistently evaluating “what is the data telling me?” and “why does it matter?"
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
