Citi U.S. Broker Dealer, Cross-Functional Risk Analyst, VP - Office of the CRO (Hybrid)
The current opening is for a candidate to join the CRO team of Citi’s US Broker Dealer legal entity. The objective of the role is to support the CRO across various aspects in managing the US Broker Dealer and its related activities as a CFTC Swap Dealer and FCM.
This role entails managing the risk of this legal entity across the various risk stripes. To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a solid understanding in market risk, counterparty credit risk and/or markets businesses in general. These risk disciplines serve as foundation for understanding risk management practices across other risk disciplines (market, credit, operational, liquidity) at Citi and for understanding and meeting objectives of Citi’s prudential regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop subject matter expert level knowledge on specific topics across all risk stripes that are impacting the legal vehicle(s)
- Analyze risk exposures, investigate variances and escalate as appropriate.
- Enhance controls and assessments captured in the Manager’s Control Assessment
- Candidate will need to work closely with risk analysts and managers of other teams, inside or outside the Risk organization
- Be able to understand drivers of stress testing results and concentration analysis on a regular basis or as market/economic conditions warrant
- Identify current and emerging risk impacting the entity based on risk profile and macro economic conditions, especially during periods of economic uncertainty

Additionally, the position offers exposure to firm-wide initiatives, including high-profile strategic efforts within Risk, and their applications for legal entities. The candidate will gain experience with regulatory priorities across capital markets and banking, expanding their understanding of regulatory landscapes. There will also be opportunities to engage with senior leaders, allowing for skill development in presentation, communication, and influence. This position is ideal for someone with a financial risk background who is intellectually curious and eager to explore the diverse aspects of a Chief Risk Officer’s responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills
- 4+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically in counterparty credit risk or market risk with a solid understanding of capital markets products, risk concepts/metrics. A liquidity risk background could also be considered. Familiarity with legal entity space an added plus.
- Excellent analytical capabilities to manipulate and analyze data and present analytical concepts in a concise manner for different audience including senior management and governance committees.
- Must be proficient in Excel and Tableau. Familiarity with Citi risk systems is a plus
- Undergraduate / Master’s degree(s) with an analytical focus (e.g., finance, business administration, economics)

- Possesses a creative and problem solving mindset and comfortable functioning using judgement
- Strong organizational skills with ability to juggle competing priorities

$103,920.00 - $155,880.00
