The Helios Risk & Controls team covers wide range of workstreams across Wholesale Lending Credit Risk (WLCR) and Information Services Group (ISG). The main parts of the portfolio include the multi-year transformation program to standardize, simplify and identify opportunities for thematic risk reduction (MCA - Manager’s Control Assessment), and assessing data privacy risk and related legislation such as GDPR and other emerging privacy regulatory requirements for Cross Border Data Clearance (CBDC). The book of work is a mix of process innovation, regulatory compliance, risk and controls, and data privacy.  

This role requires excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills to influence a wide range of audiences, including different parts of the organization to enable efficient transformation. Knowledge of data transfer principles and experience supporting a data transfer program is also preferred. This position provides a platform for continued development and visibility across a global organization as well as exposure to senior management and other functions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and/or support the creation and execution of Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) for Product Development and ensure documentation of the activities, identify risks, associated controls, and monitoring are appropriate.
  • Lead and/or support Cross Border Clearance governance and oversight activities, including but not limited to providing transparent status information to leadership, ensure appropriate escalation of risks and issues, and effective tracking of remediation efforts.
  • Prepare executive reports to stakeholders / management on the ‘health’ of the organization as it relates to Cross Border Data Clearance.
  • Perform reconciliations and data analysis across multiple Lines of Business, and follow-up with CBAT owners to ensure completion of identified actions.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to see the big picture with high attention to details.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders to drive accountability and ownership with key business partners. 
  • Experience in data management, data mapping, analysis, reconciliations, and dashboards.
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High degree of initiative and personal accountability, self-starter and highly motivated.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and operate independently with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, in specific Excel and PowerPoint skills to provide effective reporting and documentation.

  • Directly impacts the IT project leadership area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures; influences resource planning.
  • Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years experience in an IT project leadership role with commensurate people management experience.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$87,280.00 - $130,920.00
