AVP Tax Information Reporting Sr. Analyst
Tax Information Reporting (TIR) is responsible for end-to-end client tax activities including validation of client tax certifications, withholding, information reporting under Internal Revenue Service, Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) regimes, Citi-wide governance, and US non-income tax including sales & use tax, personal property tax, and others.

Responsibilities:
- Execute functions from the Tax Information Reporting taxonomy including, but not limited to, tax form validation (W8/W9), withholding, and information reporting (1099, 1042-S, Canadian) for banking and securities accounts
- Act as a tax information reporting specialist execute operational and project initiatives specific to Citi's US Personal Banking (USPB) and Personal Wealth Management (PWM) businesses
- Act as an internally and externally recognized subject matter expert
- Identify and participate in process re-engineering and re-design activities to achieve better controls, compliance, and efficiencies
- Support audits by tax authorities and Internal Audit
- Contribute towards departmental requirement to adhere to strict regulatory and compliance requirements per tax authority and Citi policy
- Perform reviews of written tax policy and procedures, research and respond to inquiries from operational areas
- Liaison with Corporate Tax for complex tax advisory inquiries and policy requirements
Qualifications:
- Understanding of U.S. tax information reporting requirements applicable to products issued by Personal Banking, Services, Markets, Weal, and/or other Citi businesses
- Understanding of U.S. tax information reporting rules applicable to U.S. Persons and non-U.S. Persons
- Understanding and working knowledge of IRS Forms W-9 and W-8 and their associated requirements; Forms 1098, 1099 series, and 1042-S; Forms 945 and 1042
- Excellent communication skills to drive engagement and close interactions with key stakeholders. Provide basic advisory services primarily for internal clients
- Project Management experience preferred and strong organizational skills required
- 5-8+ years of relevant experience

$79,120.00 - $118,680.00
