Head of Taiwan Custody Operations, Senior Vice President

Responsibilities:
- This is a country management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of Custody Operations teams. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with Custody Services in Taiwan. Investor Services Taiwan supports clients' investment activities in local/Taiwan and global markets through settlement, safekeeping and servicing of client assets.
- Manage the full suite of operations and service delivery for Custody Services Taiwan support many global and local investors with total asset under custody (AUC) of over $100 billion.
- Ensure that all operations activities comply with the guidelines as stated by local central bank, regulator and depository.
- The role requires an in-depth understanding of custody operations and/or service delivery. The individual will be accountable for BAU operations while maintaining a pristine control environment.
- Require frequent client, regulatory and internal stakeholder interactions and it may include in person meeting/s with the local regulator and in local market / custodian forum.
- Significant experience of managing teams, employee engagement, development, diversity will be key to ensure a motivated and engaged workforce. A strong track record in processing re-engineering and automation will be important to help build scalability as well as meet annual productivity commitments.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Senior to advanced level experience in a related role with commensurate experience in people management preferred
- Experience in management with Banking and Financial Institutions preferred
- In-depth understanding of opportunities that exist within Financial Services and significant experience in Corporate Banking
- Demonstrated success coordinating with senior leadership and in managing others
- Proven ability to manage various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
- Effective project management and negotiation skills
- Consistently demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Required Licensing/Registration: 信託督導人員內稽內控金融道德
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
