Institutional Rates Salesperson - Vice President - SINGAPORE
As part of the Institutional Rates Sales team, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds, banks and sovereign wealth funds. Your primary focus will be on providing clients with market insights, executing fixed-income transactions, and delivering tailored interest rate solutions across cash and derivatives products. The role requires strong market knowledge, relationship management skills, and the ability to navigate complex trading environments to drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, understanding their trading strategies and investment needs.
- Market and execute rates products, including government bonds, interest rate swaps, options, and structured products.
- Provide clients with market color, trade ideas, and execution strategies based on macroeconomic trends, monetary policy, and yield curve dynamics.
- Work closely with trading, research, structuring, and other internal teams to deliver customized solutions and optimal execution.
- Monitor market developments, client flows, and risk exposures to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies to expand client penetration and increase revenue.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk controls while conducting business activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, CFA) are a plus.
- 7-10 years of experience in institutional sales, preferably in rates, fixed income, or derivatives.
- Strong understanding of interest rate markets, macroeconomic factors, and financial instruments.
- Experience covering institutional clients in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia for Rates.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a client-focused mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel, and other financial analytics tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting fixed-income markets.
