The Mid-Corp Relationship Manager is a developing professional role requiring increasing independence in problem-solving, including complex issues. This role necessitates a deep understanding of specialized areas, industry standards, and how teams collaborate within the broader organization. Analytical skills are crucial, including utilizing data analysis tools and methodologies. The role involves detailed analysis of information to make sound judgments and recommendations. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are essential for conveying potentially sensitive information effectively. This role directly influences core business activities, where service quality and timeliness significantly affect team effectiveness
In this role, you’re expected to:
- Relationship Management: Deepens client relationships by proactively addressing needs, anticipating challenges, and leveraging internal resources. Resolves portfolio issues to enhance client satisfaction.
- Customized Solutions: Collaborates with team members to structure tailored solutions meeting client needs. Drives innovation in the solutions we provide clients and further developing our business where necessary and appropriate
- Business Development: Identifies and pursues new clients aligned with CCB's value proposition and increases share of wallet with existing clients.
- Risk Management: Protects Citi's assets and reputation by managing credit risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Experience:2-5 years of relevant experience/exposure covering Energy/Commodities/Manufacturing/Metals & Mining/ Chemical/ Shipping and Transportation
- Product Knowledge: Solid understanding of commercial banking products and processes.
- Financial Acumen: Intermediate knowledge of credit skills, early warning detection, accounting principles, and financial statement analysis.
- Teamwork & Leadership: Ability to work effectively in a team setting and demonstrate leadership with strong interpersonal skills.
- Client Focus: Passion for developing new business, innovative problem-solving, and a commitment to client service.
- Communication & Organization: Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
