Applications Development Senior Lead Analyst

Fixed Income Sales and Trading Services Technology (FI S&T Services Tech) is responsible for delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to support Citi Markets Fixed Income businesses.

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior-level position tasked with leading the design, development, and implementation of application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. The role focuses on driving innovation, ensuring system integration, and delivering impactful solutions to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management teams to ensure seamless integration of functions, identify system enhancements, and deploy new products and process improvements.
• Solve high-impact problems and manage complex projects through detailed evaluation of business processes, system workflows, and industry standards.
• Provide technical expertise and advanced knowledge in applications programming, ensuring adherence to architectural blueprints and design principles.
• Develop and enforce standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation to maintain system integrity and performance.
• Build a comprehensive understanding of business areas, such as architecture and infrastructure, to align technology solutions with organizational goals.
• Conduct in-depth analysis and apply innovative thinking to define issues and deliver creative solutions.
• Act as a mentor and advisor to mid-level developers and analysts, guiding their work and fostering professional growth.
• Assess risks effectively when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies while safeguarding Citigroup’s reputation, clients, and assets.
  

Qualifications

• Significant experience in applications development or systems analysis.
• Deep understanding of Engineering Excellence and DevOps practices, with proven success in implementing solutions at a firmwide scale.
• Proven expertise in leveraging emerging technologies, such as Generative AI, with demonstrated success in real-world use cases.
• Extensive hands-on experience in system analysis and software application development, proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, etc.).
• Track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects.
• Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of applications development.
• Strong leadership capabilities with effective project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
