Securities & Derivatives Manager - C12 - SAO PAULO
Responsibilities:
The FX Operations manager is a senior analyst that will be responsible for processing the FX transactions and act as the checker/reviewer of the payments/processes, in accordance with the local FX regulation and the internal policies. In addition to having a focus on the risk assessment inherent to the processes, it is expected that the senior analyst constantly analyzes the current processes to seek improvements and automations opportunities. He/she will be the focus point of contact with the Senior Management, the clients, and other internal departments. It’s also expected that this analyst leads different initiatives across the area.
Responsibilities:
To ensure the FX Operations processing activities are being completed in an accurate and timely manner, in accordance with the procedures, internal policies and regulatory rules, being always updated with the legal aspects that support the processes, avoiding deviations that could compromise the franchise.
- Work closely with teammates, internal stakeholders and clients to ensure all transactions are promptly processed.
- To have oversight over the operational cycle of all trades and additional processes of the area (accounting, reconciliation, reports);
- Engage the team in being the best for our clients (both external and internal);
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- To take initiative to identify potential risks and opportunities for process and controls improvement;
- Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies to make recommendations to senior management to support growth plan of the business
- Manage, escalate and resolve requests / inquiries / issues / errors and propose improvements;
- Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of FX operations experience in all FX products
- Banking operations experience;
- People Management
- Fluent in English is mandatory;
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication;
- Flexibility and organization to work with tight deadlines;
- Self-motivation and ability to take initiatives to identify potential risks and to implement process improvements;
- Control oriented
- High level of accuracy and attention to details, including problem solving skills;
- Team working skills and collaborative attitude;
- IT Skills: proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience preferred
- MBA/post graduate degree should be considered as a plus
