Operations Readiness Business Analyst / Project Manager - C12 - PUNE - Hybrid
The Operations Readiness Business Analyst / Project Manager is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the delivery of Change or Transformation for Strategic Projects, programs or Systemic Changes impacting clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Create/Own/Publish department & stakeholder level metrics, progress report and dashboard via JIRA, Excel, Confluence.
- Redesign existing processes, assess, and establish key process controls across all custody Operations - Including Transaction Management and as needed Tax Operations or Asset Servicing.
- Ensure the consistency and completeness of design and implementation for the end-to-end process.
- Analyze results or metrics and meet with key subject matter experts to help identify potential improvements or evaluate different alternate solutions, including recommending process changes, system enhancements or other automation options.
- Initiatives including follow-up, resolution and closure of open items as well as identifying and developing continuous improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the business units to implement and standardize processes.
- Communicate effectively with process owners to facilitate the completion and tracking of initiatives.
- Interface directly with Internal stakeholders on daily basis
- Running workshops with stakeholder/Internal SMEs to understand the end-to-end process while identifying any automation blockers and the suitability of the process for automation.
- Calculate automation % and FTE benefit and build effort estimates and perform initial prioritization
- Present summary of findings to the OPS Management and walk them through to-be design of the automated process.
- Provide outputs for weekly due diligence updates with stakeholders.
- Understanding the risks, assumptions, and dependencies associated with the process.
- Work closely with development SCRUM/ART teams as a CQE Lead or Operations Lead to ensure requirements are accurately mapped and suitable for development/testing/rollout.
- Be involved in all process automation activities from the initial prioritization, development and testing through implementation and continuous improvement.
- Build, review, and own Process Definition Documentation
- Build, review, and own test plans and test cases, facilitate the gathering of test data via JIRA/Zephyr
- Resolve complex process problems which require an in-depth evaluation of basic securities processing procedures and industry standards
- Offer advanced solutions for assigned custody processing areas
- Serve as a Project Analyst under a Project or Program Manager to analyze, identify and support the program through solution identification, requirements gathering, test management or test lead as needed by the program.
- Act as a Project Manager for risk reduction and operational efficiency as needed
- Act as a Business Analyst Manager for risk reduction and operational efficiency as needed
- Work as part of Geographically diverse virtual team structure to deliver exceptional solutions for Custody Programs
- Design and test solutions in test environments for functionality or client testing coordination and liaising with all internal stakeholders as needed
- Serve as analytical or procedural expert for securities processing deliverables/initiatives
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Experience with applications such as JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr, and/or MS Project.
- Experience in developing business requirements for projects
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, Tableau
- Experience in Agile/Safe Agile methodology and working as Operations Lead or CQE Lead for SCRUM/ART teams
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
- Knowledge of technology or financial software development industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; well-developed analytical and interpretive skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
