The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
  • Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
  • Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
  • Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
  • Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
  • Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
  • Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
  • Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator with extensive experience in managing Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and seamless migrations. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in Oracle RAC, Cloud migrations, and database performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User and Access Management: Create and manage database users, allocate to appropriate tablespaces, and assign necessary privileges and roles across multiple Oracle databases.
  • High Availability Implementation: Design and implement Oracle RAC for high availability, and manage both Physical and Logical Standby Databases to ensure data consistency and fault tolerance.
  • Database Migrations and Upgrades: Lead Oracle database migrations and upgrades (e.g., from 11g to 19c) in Linux environments, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
  • Schema and Object Management: Manage schemas, objects, and partition large tables and indexes for better performance and scalability.
  • Oracle Technology Architecture: Leverage deep understanding of Oracle technology architecture and real-time Application Clusters to optimize database environments.
  • Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve database issues, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques and performance tuning to optimize database efficiency.
  • Client Consultation and Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements, providing tailored database solutions to meet their needs.
  • Capacity and Resource Management: Implement effective capacity management strategies to optimize database resources and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Cloud Migrations: Manage database migrations from on-premises systems to Oracle Cloud, ensuring a smooth transition to the cloud environment.
  • Oraas Grid and DB Split Coordination: Oversee Oraas Grid migrations and implement database split strategies to enhance performance and scalability.
  • PL/SQL Development: Utilize strong PL/SQL skills for writing, optimizing, and maintaining queries, procedures, and triggers.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Demonstrate exceptional communication and troubleshooting skills, ensuring effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in Oracle Database Administration, particularly in high availability, migration, and performance tuning.
  • Experience in managing Oracle databases on Linux platforms.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle Cloud and Cloud migration strategies.
  • Strong PL/SQL programming skills.
  • Ability to handle complex troubleshooting scenarios and performance issues effectively.
