Sanctions Analyst
Role is placed within Sanction Screening Hub in Olsztyn, L1 EMEA team.
L1 EMEA Team is responsible for sanctions screening of cash transactions for EMEA countries.
Sanctions Analyst is an mid-level role responsible for processing relatively complex to complex tasks as part of the sanctions control performed in the Department.
The overall objective is to ensure the highest quality of customer service through timely and accurate execution of controls, in accordance with policies and other documents defining standards.
Responsibilites:
- Performing sanction control as part of the L1 role in accordance with policies and other documents defining standards for sanction control
- Timely trainings completions, assuring to be up to date with sanctions regulations
- Proactive approach, raising issues with applications etc
- Cooperating with other Citi units and persons specified in procedures and policies
- Coordinating and initiating updates to created process documentation.
- Initiating and implementing improvement, quality and standardization actions in the Department's processes
- Conducting internal training for Department employees
- Performing analyses supporting process management based on statistical data, drawing conclusions, formulating recommendations
- Performing additional activities supporting the performed work and control activities within one's own team
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Good understanding of English written and spoken (B2 level or higher)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and data entry skills
- Having "an eye for detail", being able to read the context.
- Being up to date with international relations and sanctions in general is an advantage.
- Having work experience in documentation handling is an advantage.
- Great communication skills, ability to work in team.
- Ability to work under time pressure.
- Ability to work in constantly changing environment.
