The Credit Risk Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess an in-depth understanding of Citibank Commercial Banking products and services - within Business / Commercial Banking and the broader organization, document collection, document creation, quality control requirements, funds movement, and booking attributes into the mainframe platform for various Small Business products.

  • Perform quality control checks by reviewing loan documentation for content and accuracy to verify alignment with policy and procedures mitigating business risk.

  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all Bankers (Sales Team), Credit Officers, senior leadership team, and other various internal business partners as necessary.

  • Responsible for routine operational or administrative work.

  • Day-to-day actions are focused on reviewing approved Business Banking applications with approval amounts between $1 - $10MM using defined procedures and checklists.

  • Responsible for completing departmental procedural updates as necessary to ensure compliance with policy and regulations.

  • Other duties as required to support business unit and company goals.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the team and drive training of new or existing team members on loan resources as well as provide testing assistance for production validation and host release/Continuity of Business (CoB) testing.

  • Review project requirements to ensure timelines are met and the quality meets and exceeds customer expectations.

  • Assist with the creation, execution, and validation of User Acceptance test plans and scripts to ensure enhancements go into production in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Research and interpret standard information and identify inconsistencies in data or results.

  • Prepare presentations for senior-management and/or audit.  

  • Support business unit goals by continuous identification of process improvements and efficiencies aiding to reduce costs and improve customer service levels. 

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience preferred

  • In depth knowledge of Business Banking, Lending / Commercial Banking Products and Services

  • Solid understanding of Business Entity Types and Beneficial Ownership

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Excellent organizational skills, strong multi-tasking capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to complete assignments within required deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong inter-personal and written / verbal communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Pro-active disposition with ability to work independently and within a team

  • Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$90,080.00 - $135,120.00
