Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Research Senior Associate for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Perform deep, fundamental analyses and quantitative modeling of various end markets in the semiconductor industry and companies. Analyze industry and technology trends, and insert large amounts of data into actionable investment ideas. Create and maintain detailed financial models and industry models. Update and maintain the semiconductor database by monitoring news flow and analyzing new information such as earnings updates and industry trends. Track company events and earnings. Develop research projects related to semiconductor stocks and produce reports outlining findings in a timely manner. Present written reports on economic and industry trends. Present financial products to clients and act as the point of contact for any client requests. Inform investment decisions based on results of financial analyses and make recommendations to Sales Institutional Clients. Liaise with the Asian and EMEA teams to coordinate and generate global industry reports. Monitor trends in the technology supply chain including the PC, Automotive, Communications, Industrials, Handset and Consumer end markets. Attend industry conferences and speak to industry contacts. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Three (3) years of experience must include: Analyzing financial statements, prospectuses, related company filings, macroeconomic and industry-related news and using this information to formulate investment ideas; Examining and deriving insights on the financial performance and health of public companies by calculating financial metrics including net profit margin, debt-to-equity ratio, and inventory turnover; Performing financial forecasting of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements; Using valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow analysis, dividend discount model, and relative valuation to assist in developing investment theses; Creating and maintaining research reports, financial models, and industry models using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Factset, and Bloomberg; and Analyzing information from various sources, including public SEC documents (Form 10K and 10Q), industry conferences, and publications, to identify the trends of end markets in the semiconductor industry. 40 hrs./wk.
