Markets Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Markets Analyst for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Build close partnerships with CitiFX Institutional Sales teams to promote Citi’s market-leading quantitative strategy brand to our key institutional investor clients. Produce client-driven active and passive currency risk management solutions, primarily for U.S., Canadian, and Latin American institutional investors.  Create solutions that demonstrate original thinking applied to complex problems, including intelligent use of FX derivatives, and systematic market timing of hedge trades. Create and deliver effective presentations to clients and explain and sell the hedging solutions or trading strategies. Support the team’s efforts to expand and review the set of currency trading strategies and hedge solutions. Produce original ideas for new strategies and create strategy back-tests. Draft client-facing reports on new trading strategies and generic hedging solutions. Write market commentary on existing strategies and quantitative strategy tools. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, or a related field, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a related quantitative occupation developing systematic trading strategies, coding production processes, and performing predictive statistical analysis within the financial industry. Four (4) years of experience must include: Developing systematic trading strategies and currency hedge solutions; Using macroeconomics data to determine drivers of exchange rates; Utilizing financial derivatives, including currency forwards, swaps, and options for systematic trading strategies and analysis; Coding production processes that provide market intelligence using Python, SQL, and VBA; Conducting advanced quantitative analysis on large datasets; and Utilizing financial derivative products and market data to perform predictive statistical analysis and system optimization. 40 hrs./wk.
