The North America Liquidity Management Services (NAM LMS) team is a key part of the Services Business at Citi, responsible for over $350 billion in client deposits and investments. The NAM LMS FI Segment Manager role based in New York will be a visible, impactful member of the NAM LMS team. 

The primary responsibilities of this role include driving strategic growth, particularly across specialized FI segments (incl. Client Money Accounts, FinTechs, Mortgage Servicers, Reserve Bank Accounts, Intercompany accounts, and Foreign-Managed entities) The role will drive complex liquidity & account solutions for FI clients.  This role will also focus on optimizing our business with the Financial Institutions (FI) client set, while growing utilization of all Deposit & Investment solutions (including money market funds and off-balance sheet investments) as well as cash concentration products and focusing on revenue accretive projects - pricing strategies, margin expansion, managing deposit portfolio performance through various interest rate environments. The role will also contribute to driving and executing our US interest rate strategy and beta management across for the NAM LMS business.

The role will be involved in a variety of initiatives across LMS, packaging innovative solutions across all LMS products. This will involve identifying client needs, and working with Product, Sales, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Technology and Banking teams to develop use cases, targeting and solution strategies. The role will be critical to meet strategic and financial targets.

Due to the complexity of regulatory and return metrics of client deposits, paired with internal balance sheet pressures, the successful candidate will partner closely with LMS Balance Sheet Management and Product Management on critical deposit optimization and strategic liquidity initiatives aligned with directly improving balance sheet quality while managing existing client relationships.

This position will work closely with Sales, Banking and Product Management but will spend a significant amount of time with clients to better understand and articulate client needs back to the Product Management teams.  The role will develop an in-depth understanding of competition in the market and develop strategies and approaches to mitigate threats and capitalize on opportunities to grow the NAM LMS business.

Key Responsibilities:

•             Responsible for managing specialized Financial Institution client segments, leveraging Liquidity & Investment offerings to develop tailored solutions to meet customer objectives of achieving liquidity & funding efficiency across in-house network and optimal yield across its working & investable capital staying within client's investment policy

•             Lead in client engagement in emerging areas of innovation like Real-Time Funding/Liquidity and FinTech segment

•             Analyzing key market trends and shifts, identifying competitor positioning and risks / opportunities for liquidity products

•             Managing and coordinating across a complex set of stakeholders including clients, Sales/Coverage, Treasury, Product Managers, Technology, Operations, Client Service, Marketing, Risk, and Controls & Regulatory Management

•             Meeting with senior stakeholders in TTS franchise and Sales teams to optimize liquidity revenues and client experience

•             Participating in client discussions to understand client needs and determine opportunities for further client engagement

•             Lead reviews of NAM FI deposits to ensure high-level of balance sheet efficiency/ optimization, balance stability, net interest margin (NIM) and returns in alignment with goals

•             Analyze customer profitability and relative position in market

•             Provide product performance feedback to Product Managers; analyze new product development opportunities to meet client needs

•             Work with Product Managers to hold pre-launch meetings with Sales teams to create initial target market list and detailed marketing plans; manage launch of products through marketing materials & client welcome kits

•             Participate in/lead deal structuring, pricing and execution; work with Sales respond to RFIs and RFPs

•             Drive pipeline initiatives; ensure new wins are correctly implemented with Operations

Knowledge/Experience:

•             Minimum 5-8 years relevant work experience

•             Strong knowledge and experience in positioning complex liquidity products and solutions, interest rates, deposit pricing and money markets

•             Corporate Treasury or Cash Management background with strong working knowledge of bank liquidity and deposit products

•             Experience with Financial Institutions client set preferred

Skills:

•             Strong analytical and technical skills; critical thinker who can digest complex topics and distill into simple themes

•             Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal communication skills

•             Track record of senior interaction and presentation experience

•             Proven project management skills

Competencies:

•             Sole contributor who can create bespoke client pitch and analysis to drive commercialization and profitability

•             Strong knowledge of core cash management and liquidity products

•             Working knowledge of key regulations preferred (Basel III including LCR, SLR, GSIB, etc.)

•             Self-starter with ability to drive projects independently

•             Strategy oriented with the ability to multitask

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
