EDO Business Unit Manager - Director
The Senior Business Unit Group Manager is a senior management-level position in the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) Business Execution (BE) Team responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a professional team or department. The team drives the overall administrative activities of the business. These tasks may include managing external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Senior Business Unit Group Manager coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs and ad hoc projects as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the operating rhythm with the leadership team focusing on key priorities, routines and deliverables
Partner with Functions Data Lead and Senior Leadership team and Business Execution peer teams to deliver on the teams objectives
Create methodologies, procedures and governance of the Productivity Area to ensure expense targets are met by each business/function
Evaluate and approve investment/expenditure requests and capital expenses for all areas/functions
Ensure approved out-of-budget expenditure requests are appropriately handled
Engage in cost management activities, such as validating spending and cost saving initiatives, monitoring savings initiatives and expenses, as well as monitoring consistency between financial information, productivity information and HR reports
Identify opportunities to optimize costs, propose initiatives and lead creation of direct expense plans in partnership with internal functions and teams
Mange and drive the process to set up a continuous cycle of organization/operating model reviews to shape the local organization model
Provide leadership and promote business ties with internal and external senior leaders/clients across key businesses, regions and support functions
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Develop financial projections based on risks and opportunities
Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies and relevant legal regulations.
Detail oriented and strategic thinker that can prioritize and multi-task between the several budget priorities
Business Management
Support the Data Lead organization in the delivery of commitments and drive implementation of strategy
Understand financials and drivers
Assist Business Unit Head in responding to changes in the environment
Manage budgetary requirements and relevant processes
Governance, Risk & Controls
Assist in internal audit reviews, providing materials and address concerns arising from these reviews
Ensure the business is run in compliance with all internal and regulatory standards
Human Capital Management
Ensure the people strategy and organizational capabilities are aligned to business strategy
Support the Sales heads managing the headcount and hiring processes
Support the leadership team in overseeing VOE (Voice of Employee) work streams in partnership with Communications and HR teams

Understanding of the Risk and Controls environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Superior problem-solving skills; pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately

Have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in financial services
Experience in people management
Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology
Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures
Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
The role requires strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills that rely on influence and building effective partnerships to execute on our delivery plans and controls in a systematic, measurable, and effective way.
