The Disclosure and Ratings Analyst is part of Citi’s Sustainability & ESG team, which manages environmental, climate change, human rights and other stakeholder and business issues in partnership with Citi's businesses, risk functions and operational teams. The  Analyst provides broad support to the team’s sustainability disclosure program and reports to the Senior Vice President, Sustainability & ESG (Disclosure and Ratings Lead), who reports to the Chief Sustainability Officer.

Primary Responsibilities:

Ratings and Reporting

  • Contribute to Citi’s responses to key ESG surveys and ratings including MSCI, Sustainalytics, Ecovadis and ISS, among others, and perform ongoing due diligence and monitoring of Citi’s performance in these and other similar platforms
  • Respond to sustainability and ESG-related surveys/RFPs, and provide information for investor inquiries related to Citi’s environmental and social performance
  • Contribute to the preparation of the firm’s climate disclosures, Proxy statement, annual global Sustainability report and other reporting
  • Participate in engagements with key sustainability and ESG rating agencies and disclosure framework developers such as CDP, CSRD, ISSB and SASB to understand their methodologies and stay current on emerging trends as well as expectations for transparency and reporting
  • Maintain databases for FAQs and other supporting material pertaining to Citi’s environmental and social initiatives and programs, and maintain disclosure-related peer benchmarking
  • Engage with internal teams on environmental and social-related activities to prepare and approve the abovementioned materials and disclosures
  • Collect and maintain repository of key qualitative and quantitative environmental and social metrics, talking points and presentation materials for use in internal and external communications

General

  • Provide support to the Sustainability & ESG team as needed on Citi’s environmental and social priorities including; stakeholder engagement, employee engagement and related projects and initiatives
  • Develop presentation materials and create talking points on sustainability-related topics for engagement with internal and external stakeholders and support and track follow-up activity
  • Undertake research projects and benchmarking analysis as needed on sustainability, sustainable finance and environmental and social-related topics and themes, including facilitating outreach to Citi colleagues to help steward due diligence processes
  • Provide summaries, evaluations and analysis on relevant policy or market-related sustainability developments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in sustainability-related role
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to create work plans and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical skills, proficient in Excel and comfortable analyzing large datasets and portraying and explaining complex data trends to others
  • Strong research and investigative skills, ability to evaluate and assess complex topics and creatively problem-solve
  • Expertise in PowerPoint
  • Exceptional time management skills and work ethic, ability to work under deadlines and strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or familiarity with corporate reporting including key frameworks like CDP, CSRD, ISSB, and SASB
  • Master’s degree related to sustainability, environmental science, business, or finance preferred.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$78,320.00 - $109,280.00
