Commercial Real Estate Transactor Senior Lead

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Commercial Real Estate Transactor Senior Lead for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Originate Commercial Real Estate (CRE) transactions for high-net-worth individuals. Conduct financial and real estate analysis, risk rating, and pricing by utilizing proprietary Citi risk rating scorecards and models to generate risk ratings for pricing and greenlight approval as well as deal structuring for Term Sheet issuance. Analyze credit metrics and projections including asset specific fundamentals for CRE, a specialized asset involving specific detailed analysis unique to real assets. Assess loan facilities within Citi guidelines for deals in the U.S., create materials for credit approval and assess new and existing CRE transactions. Assist with management, strategy, and coordination functions for CRE products and portfolio. Coordinate bi-annual renewal and re-approval of Product Program materials. Manage and coordinate open internal audit/management queries and liaise with other teams and functions as Citi’s Private Bank CRE subject matter expert. Oversee portfolio analysis and reporting, present and host trainings for the CRE team globally, and assist with ad-hoc special projects for the Global Head of CRE. Source, structure, and negotiate directly with CRE clients and guarantors on CRE loans. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Five (5) years of experience must include: Assessing risk associated with commercial real estate financing; Analyzing and assessing the financial capacity of sponsors/guarantors; Underwriting real estate risk components of a transaction and performing, in the event of a default, to cure and support the asset financed; and Structuring commercial real estate transactions and negotiating with clients. 15% domestic and international travel required. 40 hrs./wk.
