Citibank, N.A. seeks a Banker for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Support day-to-day cash management activities, trading initiatives, vendor finance, foreign exchange, loan activities, debt capital markets efforts, share repurchase, and interest rate and equity derivatives for institutional clients. Support Bankers in cross-selling full spectrum of products and services by identifying customer needs to generate revenue. Prepare client pitch materials consolidating inputs from Senior Bankers and product partners, specifically for Private Equity owned portfolio companies. Assess public filings, research reports, operations, business plans, and financial forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses to evaluate credit strength of portfolio companies and provide appropriate recommendations to Senior Bankers and Risk teams. Assist institutional loan portfolio deployment management ensuring appropriate level of return. Assess transaction economics and client revenue pipelines to drive returns on tangible common equity and portfolio exposure. Manage loan approval process and assist bankers with data analysis on client and portfolio returns. Stay abreast of market and industry trends, best practices and competitive landscape to support Senior Bankers in their efforts to win new business. Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and policy. Escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency. Lead strategic initiatives forecasting and analyzing balance sheet liquidity to support loans and episodic deals. Spearhead senior forum for pre-screening of challenging deals and drive Net Zero and Emerging Growth Company goals firm wide. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field and 1 year of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Corporate Banking Analyst, Investment Banking Associate, Institutional Banking Associate, Credit Fund Associate, Ratings Agency Associate or related position involving corporate capital and credit analysis and portfolio monitoring in the global financial industry. 1 year of experience must include: Credit and financial analysis for risk assessment, exposure evaluation, and balance recommendation; Financial statement metrics analysis including leverage, interest coverage, and repayment capacity; Financial instruments and products including Revolving Credit Facilities, Term Loans, Bridge facilities, FX, derivatives and working capital and cash solutions; Financial model building and forecasting for credit monitoring, optimal capital structure, balance sheet level and liquidity projection, and calculation of estimated portfolio returns; Portfolio analysis of corporate bank balance sheet using Excel pivots and yearly reviews; and Data set synthesis and translations into visual charts.
