Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker, VP for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Provide strategic advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, and other types of financial transactions with a focus on the Biopharma and healthcare industry in coordination with the institutional banking team. Analyze filings including financial statements. Evaluate and analyze companies’ financial situations. Perform valuation of companies. Assist clients in raising funds in the capital markets. Analysis of capital market products. Act as a strategic advisor to clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital. Hold responsibility for various phases of investment banking transaction execution, new business origination, and client development. Work with clients on financing transactions and guiding them through the capital raising process, including negotiation of terms. Lead due diligence and drafting sessions, and prepare clients for an equity or debt offering. Confer with stakeholders (clients, senior-level team members, and outside professional advisors) on M&A and special situation transactions. Draft financial analyses to provide relevant information for clients to make business decisions, pitch materials, information memoranda, and investor and management presentations needed in capital markets and M&A transactions. Develop healthcare industry and competitive landscape materials. Assist with work performed by analysts and associates to generate high quality client materials and successfully execute transactions. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field and 4 years of experience as a Vice President, Sr Associate, Associate or related position involving capital market and M&A transactions for the Biopharma industry.  Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 6 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. 4 years of experience must include: Executing capital market and M&A transactions for the Biopharma industry; Analysis of filings including financial statements; Finance and accounting; Evaluation and analysis of companies’ financial situations; Valuation of companies; Capital market products; Negotiation of terms; Serving in a client-facing role; Analysis of healthcare industry and U.S. healthcare system.
