Balance Sheet Management Senior Analyst
Citibank, N.A. seeks a Balance Sheet Management Lead Analyst for its New York, NY location.
Duties: Establish the framework for all requirements to ensure that Citi maintains adequate liquidity and meets the global needs. Support the governance and control framework of liquidity management (‘LM’) relating to metrics, limits, triggers, liquidity data, intraday liquidity, and reporting. Asses the material risk inventory, contingent liquidity risk inventory (“CLRI”), idiosyncratic risks, growing risks, and emerging risks within the liquidity risk identification process. Develop, implement, and maintain the liquidity risk-appetite framework and related assessments, as well as participate in interpreting, writing, and applying liquidity policies. Rely on extensive specialized knowledge of Citi's liquidity framework to oversee risk and control initiatives with key stakeholders and manage the use of internal tools and systems. Participate in enhancing LM’s liquidity risk-appetite control framework. Recommend and implement enhancements to LM’s liquidity policies while using integrated platforms like Enterprise Risk Management Portal (“ERM Portal”)) and Tableau. Utilize knowledge of Citi’s current liquidity processes and metrics to interest and apply Citi’s liquidity policies and procedures, thus ensuring alignment and compliance with firm-wide policies. Use Internal Liquidity Stress Test (“ILST”) book of assumptions to conduct the CLRI assessment which is a process created internally by Citi. Use products, processes, procedures, systems, and tools that have been highly customized for Citi’s use including, the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (“LCR”), Net Stable Funding Ratio (“NSFR”) and ILST underlying framework, which are prescribed by regulatory requirements across the U.S Banking industry. Perform liquidity risk appetite assessments, consisting of both quantitative and qualitative components, in a timely manner, to determine whether the liquidity risk profile is within approved risk appetite. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Two (2) years of experience must include: Interpreting key financial data for Banking Institutions, including Balance Sheet or Forecasted plans/outlooks, to perform different liquidity assessments using experience in Treasury-Liquidity/Balance Sheet management; Performing internal assessments by inputting elements including encumbered/unencumbered assets, impact of different banking products, liquidity buffers, deposits classification, concentration, wholesale funding, retail funding, top counterparties, asset monetization, highly liquid assets, intercompany flows, intraday reserves, central bank facilities, contingency plans and liquidity models; Utilizing liquidity stress testing data and regulatory related reporting including short-term and long-term liquidity stress metrics internal assessments to determine the liquidity impact of various risks; Preparing key liquidity updates for senior management committees and forums in a concise and logical way as well as being sensitive to audience diversity; & Interpreting liquidity ratios and management defined stress metrics to ensure that financial institutions have sufficient liquidity to meet their short-term and long-term obligations, as well as other liquidity metrics to assess the potential impact of different liquidity risks. 40 hrs./wk.
