Job Description

Model Maintenance and Oversight - overseeing model maintenance activities to ensure compliance with Model Risk Management (MRM) guidelines and deadlines. The key responsibilities include tracking model inventory, coordinating with across corporate teams, model risk management teams, transformation teams, and FP&A teams to provide status updates and respond to model related requests., and maintaining model documentation throughout the model lifecycle.

  • Update inventory tracker for new models and changes in existing models.
  • Monitor due dates and ensure alignment with model sponsors and MRM teams.
  • Partner with FP&A teams to conduct Annual Model review and Ongoing Performance Assessments quarterly (high-risk models), semi-annually (medium-risk), and annually (low-risk).
  • Review the Ongoing monitoring results to identify potential model fatigue and preemptively remediate the issue by working with Model sponsors to ensure forecast accuracy.

Support model documentation across model life cycle for various BAU and new model deliverables as outlined in the bullets below. 

  • Prepare and submit model documentation in approved MRM templates within iMRMS.
  • Respond to MRM queries to ensure documentation approval by deadlines.
  • Various other documentation (Limitation, Model Addendum, Model Change, Model Implementation etc.) need to be submitted as per the requirement from MRM in collaboration with FP&A team.
  • Comply with various guidelines, timelines in relation to Models in coordination with various stakeholders and stay updated on any changes and additional requirement pertaining to above and comply on the same.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across MRM, FP&A, FTO, and Transformation teams.
  • Stay updated on products, forecasting processes, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in model governance activities.

Model Development: Develop, enhance, and validate risk measurement and analysis methods across market, credit, and operational risk types. Scoring models and related policies, leveraging statistical analysis for risk-related projects and data validation.

  • Apply quantitative and qualitative analysis methods using tools like SAS, SQL, and Visual Basic for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Conduct data mining, validate data quality, and address issues collaboratively with Technology teams.
  • Prepare statistical and non-statistical reports, explore data trends, and create formal documentation.
  • Present results to non-technical audiences and use predictive modeling techniques to optimize solutions and monitoring systems.
  • Generate statistical models to identify relationships, trends, and factors affecting research outcomes.
  • Validate assumptions, identify risks, and escalate sensitive areas in methodologies and processes.
  • Automate data preprocessing, perform ad hoc analyses, and design/maintain data manipulation processes.
  • Deliver data-driven recommendations addressing business needs.
  • Maintain transparency by managing and reporting control issues effectively and ethically.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience with good understanding of FP&A processes and management reporting
  • Professional degree equivalent to CA/MBA.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel.
  • Knowledge with financial forecasting systems.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Knime and Python would be preferred.
  • Experience of working with financial data and knowledge of financial reporting tools.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time.

Additional Notes:

  • Should be willing to work afternoon shifts, 1 pm to 10 pm.
