Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the governance of funding, investing and analytics of the balance sheet. This includes
- Participates in managing liquidity and interest rate risk, the capital/legal entity structure and capital planning as well as managing rating agency relationships.
- Involved in capital markets activities including commercial paper and securitization; liquidity, accrual risk oversight and transfer pricing.
- Identifies and resolves problems using autonomous judgment.
- Implements work flow or process change and redesign, and uses a thorough complrehensive knowledge of the specific function.
- Accountable for regular reporting or process administration as "owner".
- Focuses primarily on execution within defined parameters.
- Assists in the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures or products.
- Directs day-to-day work of junior level employees.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

Group Description
Citi Treasury safeguards the balance sheet, capital, and liquidity of Citigroup while providing oversight of liquidity, interest rate and currency translation risks.
Services Business Treasury is responsible for the oversight of Services businesses balance sheet with respect to asset and liability composition and targets, and capital activities. We partner with the business in the development of business strategy to drive balance sheet objectives, transparency on returns as well as liquidity requirements and interest rate risk profiles, and to support business goals. This team serves as the principal point of contact into Treasury for business and finance teams, ensuring that balance sheet priorities are integrated into business decision-making processes. Additionally, this function works with the business Finance teams to implement balance sheet allocation, optimization and costing processes.
Scope of Responsibilities
The Services Business Treasury Analyst will develop a broad understanding of institutional client banking activities and the impact of those activities upon Citi’s balance sheet. Particular emphasis will be placed upon management of the institutional deposit and lending base generated by covered businesses. Business units include Treasury & Trade Solutions and Securities Services businesses.
Demonstrated analytical capabilities must highlight the candidate’s ability to diagnose issues and identify opportunities within a dynamic environment. The Analyst will work with Product and Finance colleagues to shape institutional deposit/loan business development to maximize Citi RoTCE/RWA, structural liquidity value and revenue within overall balance sheet capacity constraints. Objectives also include optimization of limited balance sheet capacity by currency, booking site and tenor. The Analyst will identify capital/liquidity impacts of regulatory changes upon businesses and then assist with the integration of those impacts into business line strategies and client offerings.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Gauge institutional depositor sensitivity to a change in market interest rates and identify resulting impacts to business net interest income (ie. client beta)
- Identify and analyze business line interest rate exposure including implications for institutional deposit transfer pricing and associated hedge strategies
- Support monthly funds transfer pricing and hedge review processes
- Analyze drivers of deposit activity, including underlying macroeconomic drivers and analysis of client pricing and concentration attributes
- Deposit tracking and management to ensure alignment with the firm's balance sheet targets, as well as to achieve optimization on liquidity, capital and returns
Qualification/Skills
. Qualifications are to include:
- Minimum 5 - 8 years’ experience in a Treasury, Finance or relevant Business role where the underlying business serves institutional clients
- BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or Math
- Experience analyzing Actual and Forecast results with a working knowledge of Transfer Pricing and other Intercompany items
- Working knowledge of key Interest Rate Risk metrics (IRE, EVS) and Citigroup Financial Systems (PEARL / GENESIS / Etc.)
- Collaborative orientation along with desire to interact with colleagues at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to concisely communicate analytical objectives, observations and relevance of findings across the organization in written, visual (graphical) and verbal form
- Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint
