JOB  DESCRIPTION –

SVP, Sales and Client Services, Domestic Segment, Fund Services (in Business Team, India)

The Sales and Client Services (S&CS) role is responsible for managing Sales and Client Relationship of Prospects and Clients from the Domestic Segment including Mutual Funds (domestic custody, global custody, fund accounting), Insurance Companies (domestic custody), Alternative Investment Funds (domestic custody). This role is also the Lead of Domestic Segment.

The S&CS role requires the candidate to be managing (1) Clients for requirements/ enhancement of new products, escalations of issue resolution etc. directly or in coordination with Regional CE/AMs, Corporate Bank, Markets units and Senior Management (2) Incremental Sales and account opening (3) Sales pitches/RFPs.

It is important that the S&CS is a technical expert of Citi’s service capabilities, internal processes, new developments, risk and control environment and above all have a commercial bent of mind. Other skills include good communication and negotiation/diplomacy skills, speed in execution, having a digital bent of mind and keep himself/ herself abreast of all key market changes, developments as well as competition changes.


Responsibilities:

A: Managing and Responsible for Client Management

  • Responsible for a portfolio of platinum/core clients acting as their advocate and owning the client experience relationship end to end.

  • Simplifies the client experience and eliminates delays by taking ownership of cross-functional issues and mobilizing the appropriate resources to ensure a timely and satisfactory resolution.

  • Strengthens the client relationship and ensures the delivery of market-differentiating service by acting as the client’s advocate, anticipating client needs, and developing client confidence in Citi’s products and processes.

  • Delivers proactive service management through relationship reviews and scorecard analysis combined with a detailed understanding of the client’s business and unique requirements.

  • Provides support and guidance to service partners to ensure a seamless client experience across regions.

  • Establishes, provides input, and tracks operational metrics and service level requirements to achieve business goals.

  • Develops end-to-end capability, infrastructure & process improvement plan to support improved quality service.

  • Partners with other business units/coverage teams to ensure alignment of service experience with business strategies.

  • Responsible for client onboarding and ensuring a seamless experience across multi-products, as may be applicable

B: Managing and Responsible for Sales

  • Maintain a strong pipeline for New to Bank sales in discussion with Regional/Global Sales/Client Services organization across SS, FIG, Markets, TTS teams, as may be required. As part of the process, ensure that the pipeline is kept current, with proactive follow-up with prospects and internal teams. Will need to work on Deal Reviews for approval and manage pricing negotiation with the Prospect for his/ her direct sales.

  • Responsible to work on RFP submission for India services in conjunction with the Regional/Global teams, right upto Due Diligence completion stage

  • Once the deal is Won, ensures end to end implementation including review/ implementation meetings, legal negotiation, account opening, operationalization of account to enable a seamless and timely onboarding experience

  • CRM management is critical and the S&CS person will need to ensure that the CRM is constantly updated and reflects the current status and Client Value correctly.

  • Relationship Building/Maintenance with market intermediaries like Tax Counsels, Legal Firms and other Influencers to build a strong network


Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience

  • Prior Sales experience at a financial services organization

  • Broad client relationships preferred

  • Experience in a client facing role working with the buy-side community

  • Self-Motivated, excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Advanced problem solving skill


Education:

  • Master’s degree preferred
