Senior Angular Developer - C13 - MISSISSAUGA
The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred

Who we are:
The Data Catalog is a centralized metadata solution to be leveraged by up to 3,000 applications to store, govern, and access metadata for their systems. Metadata includes the information about the data stored and used by an application, such as data dictionaries, data models, data lineage between systems, etc. This information is essential to promote knowledge sharing and transfer by interested parties, and to ensure compliance with Data Governance policies set by Citi's Chief Data Office. Beyond supporting data discovery, the Data Catalog tools, and standardized metadata are systemically consumed and used to drive data transfer in multiple formats between systems within Citi, as well as externally to Cloud-based solutions used by Citi's clients.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Angular Developer to join our diverse and dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and responsive front-end applications using Angular and software engineering best practices. You will work closely with other Angular developers, UX designers, DevOps and backend developers to create high performance and maintainable applications.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Angular latest versions
Write clean, efficient code to ensure application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate Angular front-end application with backend Data APIs.
Implement best practices for responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
Lead the development of reusable components and libraries to streamline development processes.
Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure high-quality and visually appealing user interfaces.
Collaborate with Data Catalog business analysts and product manager, project managers and other key stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure compliance with internal SDLC processes.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with high test coverage.
Implement unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing using tools like Jasmine, Karma, or Cypress.
Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues to ensure high-quality user experiences.
Mentor junior and mid-level developers on best practices and technical approaches.
Stay abreast with the latest updates in Angular and related front-end technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience in front-end web development with a strong focus on Angular
Extensive experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks.
Proven experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end components with backend services.
Proficient in Angular fundamentals, Angular CLI, RxJS, Node Package Manager and state management libraries.
Experience with UI frameworks like Angular Material, Bootstrap, or something similar.
Strong knowledge of front-end build tools such as Webpack
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with Java backend technologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with WebSockets.
