Introduction

Citi's Supplier Finance Development team is seeking a passionate and experienced Product Owner to drive the vision and strategy for our supplier finance products. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and collaborating with the development team to deliver innovative solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations. This role requires a deep understanding of supplier finance, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to translate business requirements into actionable development tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision and Strategy:

    • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Citi's supplier finance products.

    • Conduct market research, analyze customer needs, and identify opportunities for product innovation.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to align product goals with business objectives and priorities.

  • Backlog Management:

    • Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog, ensuring it is aligned with the product vision and strategy.

    • Define user stories and acceptance criteria, providing clear and concise requirements for the development team.

    • Regularly refine and prioritize the product backlog based on feedback from stakeholders, market trends, and technical feasibility.

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, gathering feedback and incorporating their input into the product backlog.

    • Communicate product updates, roadmaps, and progress to stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring transparency.

    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and alignment.

  • Collaboration with Development Team:

    • Work closely with the development team to ensure they understand the product vision, requirements, and priorities.

    • Participate in sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, providing guidance and feedback.

    • Answer questions and provide clarification to the development team, ensuring they have the information they need to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Product Performance and Analysis:

    • Monitor and analyze product performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

    • Track key metrics, such as customer satisfaction, adoption rates, and revenue generation.

    • Use data to make informed decisions about product priorities and investments.

Required Skills

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.

    • Familiarity with product management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

    • Basic understanding of software development technologies and architectures.

    • Ability to analyze data and generate insights.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.

    • A customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional products.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Experience and Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, or a related field.

    • Certified Product Owner (CPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification is a plus.

    • Proven experience as a Product Owner in a software development environment.

    • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with supplier finance programs, is highly desirable.

    • Experience working with distributed teams and stakeholders.
