The Third Party Onboarding; Project, Risk and Governance Lead is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities:

  • As the Business Activity Owner across the Innovation Labs, accountable for the end-to-end processes and controls for on-boarding vendors, ensuring safe and sound management and adherence to Citi’s controls and processes, partnering with the Third-Party Unit, Legal, Compliance and Security as required for the respective processes.
  • Ongoing and annual monitoring, governance and oversight of all vendor controls and process and fulfil requirements as needed throughout the vendor on-boarding lifecycle at Citi.
  • Partner with the Lab teams at the initial stages of evaluation and directly engage with the Vendor to assess future on-boarding requirements. 
  • Appropriately assess the risk of new on-boardings and provide guidance and support to manage the processes with technical experts. Partner with technical experts to fulfil the technical and complex on-boarding requirements including Cloud Architecture Review, Vulnerability Assessments and Cross Border Data Clearance.
  • Manage, report and provide transparency of control issues and escalations, Safeguard the firm's reputation, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and adhering to Citi’s policies.
  • As the Innovation Lab, leverage opportunities to simplify and improve processes to speed up the on-boarding without compromise and risk to Citi, working with stakeholders from across the firm for their expertise and approval.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a product line management, e-commerce, and/or strategic planning role.
  • Significant experience building complex business and/or transactional models.
  • Has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products / services in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly.
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
