Cash Equities Trader
Citi is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cash Equities Trader to join our dynamic Equities team . This is a unique opportunity to leverage Citi's established franchise and distribution footprint, working directly with institutional clients to facilitate large-volume equity trades across Pan-European markets. You will be joining a supportive team where you will work as part of a successful trading team, whilst also having the autonomy to develop your own trading strategies. You will be instrumental in expanding Citi's market share and driving profitability through expert execution and insightful market analysis. This position provides direct access to a vast network of institutional clients, offering a platform to build your personal brand and solidify your standing within the industry.
What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:
Successfully execute large-volume equity trades for institutional clients across Pan-European markets.
Proactively manage risk and P&L, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with institutional clients, providing tailored solutions and market insights.
Collaborate with sales traders and research analysts to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of trading strategies and technologies.
Drive revenue growth through profitable inventory management and market making.
Maintain open communication with control functions (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Finance) ensuring compliance and robust governance.
What we will need from you:
Proven experience in cash equities trading, demonstrating a strong track record of revenue generation and risk management.
Deep understanding of equity markets, trading strategies, and regulatory landscape.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency with trading platforms, Bloomberg, and other relevant technologies.
Familiarity with Excel, SQL, VBA, or Python is highly advantageous.
