The Technical Business Analyst Group Mgr is a senior management-level position in the ISG Olympus Data Fabric & Data Strategy team. This team is responsible for delivering data solutions & addressing data challenges across ICG. This area is of key importance across the enterprise spanning ICG & Global Functions. The Business Analysis Group Manager is responsible for key areas across Olympus Markets Technology such as Consent Order, Data Operating Model, Data Strategy and Controls to drive innovative solutions for the Olympus Data Fabric.

The Olympus Markets Technical Data Lead is an Applications Development Senior Group Manager position responsible for technical deliveries through the management of a team or department, which includes implementation of new or revised systems in coordination with the Technology Teams

Responsibilities :

  • Drive the technical data strategy working sessions across ICG on key programs such as the Risk/Data Consent Order which include identification of implementation solutions across Front Office, Olympus Risks and Finance systems
  • Liaise with the various Business Stakeholders across ICG, Risk and Finance to provide a cohesive and comprehensive view of the various Consent Order transformations.
  • Influence & negotiate with the Senior Business and Tech Management as part of the execution of Enterprise-wide Data strategies
  • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development Business Analysis and Development teams within Olympus and across ICG and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements 
  • Identify and introduce emerging trends to inform decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and Engineering Excellence across all projects delivered.
  • Provide support towards budget and forecasting exercise.
  • Ensure staff follows Citi documented policy, procedures and supporting documentation for filings on a current basis and in comprehensive manner
  • Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes for the department and ensure transparency and consistency across teams
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion & VoE metrics across the organization.
  • Drive the Olympus Data Fabric Risk & Controls Roadmap definition and execution responsibilities
  • Drive all spectrums of R&C work involving Markets Trades/Transactions transformation, Markets Risk & Credit Risk, Liquidity and enablement of the various downstream Regulatory Reporting & Regulatory Compliance  delivery commitments
  • Ensure change is managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals including implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting requirements

Qualifications & Skills required:

  • 8+ years experience as Business Analyst
  • 8+ years experience with SDLC
  • 5+ years experience as a Manager
  • 5+ years in Financial Services Technology services companies
  • 5+ years experience and expertise in evaluation of technical designs and provide recommendations.
  • 5+ years experience with Confluence, JIRA, and other agile team process tools to accelerate team outcomes.
  • 5+ years experience with SQL
  • Experience with financial products mostly Capital Markets & Investment Banking, with understanding of Trade lifecycle, Business Events, Accounting Events, and related data.
  • Strong technical solution delivery skills identifying opportunities & championing ongoing best-in-class business transformation/ innovation
  • Experience in Architecting technical solutions based on critical finance needs, data and related platforms.
  • Ability to execute Data Governance, DQ management across multiple business groups and divisions
  • Experience with establishing Data Lineage between disparate enterprise data stores will be beneficial, with familiarity with Data Discovery and Access Solutions
  • Functional and technical experience in Capital Markets Technology across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations and Finance is a plus
  • Significant experience of years in Financial Services Technology services companies
  • Deep functional and technical experience in Capital Markets Technology across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations and Finance.
  • Understanding of the intersection between Markets Business and Finance, the key data flows and how they impact financial reporting. 
  • Expertise leading large scale Enterprise Transformation initiatives with a clear track record of success
  • Expertise presenting & socializing technical solutions and program status with Senior Management across Business & Technology
  • Demonstrated strong leadership taking control of complex Issue for the business, facilitating technical workings session, providing technology solutions, and seeing to resolution.
  • Experience of key Regulatory implementations that impact ICG Markets Business such as MiFID II, EMIR\SDRE, Volcker and the importance of maintaining the accuracy of these data – required as part of the Risk/Data Consent Order implementation.
  • Experience in Architecting technical solutions based on critical finance needs, data and related platforms.
  • Expertise in evaluation of technical designs and provide recommendations.
  • Strong technical solution delivery skills identifying opportunities & championing ongoing best-in-class business transformation/ innovation
  • Ability to execute Data Governance, DQ management across multiple business groups and divisions

  • Expertise with both financial reconciliations, data controls and other control frameworks
  • Effective communication skills, with ability to discuss issues and arrive at consensus with influential skills across varied user groups
  • Positive and motivated individual with an ability to take initiative and demonstrate resiliency and calm under pressure.
  • Take change to drive and deliver the large-scale projects in a diverse environment
  • Experience with the following tools and technologies is a plus :
    •  Hadoop
    •  Expertise in Big Data querying tools e.g. Hive and Impala
    •  Relational SQL and NoSQL databases
    •  Business Intelligence Tools
    •  Financial message formats (e.g. Fix, FPML, Swift ISO, etc.)

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Masters degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
