Overview of the Role:

The Senior Lead Applications Development Technology Analyst is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of platforms and components for financial reporting systems related to product and Markets Control functions. These are specialized functions performed by controllers for daily review of firm’s global trading P&L and submissions for regulatory purposes.

  • Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) • Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues

  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards

  • Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources

  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

  • Manage efficiently team of highly efficient Technical and Non-Technical resources and make sure all deliveries and other project related activities are done with the highest standard of code quality and business user satisfaction on result.

  • Ensure that Team follows all Citi’s work Pillars and no compliance, or any other regulation is breached by anyone. Manage multiple teams of professionals(employees) to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g., performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions).

  • Effectively Manage Multiple Vendor resource & manage quality skill control through talent assessment and cross skilling. Build and maintain a high quality multi technology group of resource who can assist in Application as well as BU level Talent Hiring initiatives.

  • Actively initiate and encourage team to participate in multiple People Engagement & team Building exercise at BU or lower level.

  • Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results

  • Explore existing application systems, determines areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation.

  • Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to software architecture, software development process and new technologies etc.

  • Ensure project deliverables are created, and PTS documentation is up to date. Work closely with Cross Functional Teams e.g., Business Analysis, Product Assurance, Platforms and Infrastructure, Business Office, Controls and Production Support. Prepare handover documents, perform unit testing, SIT and assist with UAT and production implementation as required.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the finance industry across application development, project management, and delivery.

  • 10+ years of expertise in complex data warehouses with strong ETL methodology knowledge.

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio, including GDE, Control Centre, Metadata Hub, Meta Programming, Real-Time Components (e.g., Call Web Service), and multifile system programming.

  • 5+ years of project experience in financial control applications such as P&L, PAA, Balance Sheet, and Independent Price Verification.

  • Proven experience managing regional and global technology teams, including employees and consultants.

  • Strong RDBMS (Oracle) expertise, with the ability to write complex SQL for data analysis.

  • Proficiency in UNIX Shell/Perl scripting and Unix server space optimization and debugging.

  • Strong code debugging and server-side analytical skills.

  • Expertise in ETL and database performance tuning.

  • Strong leadership skills to manage large teams and ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science or related fields

Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
