AVP / Data Catalog Tooling Build Team Technical Business Analyst
Who we are:
Sitting within Citi’s Operations & Technology organization, the Chief Information Office plays a critical role in delivering data-focused technology solutions to drive Citi’s businesses activities. Specifically, the Data Engineering practice, known as Information Services Group (ISG), has a responsibility to provide centralized data and operations platforms spanning reference data (accounts, documents, securities, pricing, corporate actions, legal agreements), transactions, and lending services.
In addition to supporting domain-specific data and operational requirements, at a broader level, ISG provides the tooling driving Data Governance activities for Citi. Data Catalog is a centralized metadata solution to be leveraged by up to 8,000 applications to store, govern, and access metadata for their systems. Metadata includes the information about the data stored and used by an application, such as data dictionaries, data models, data lineage between systems, business glossaries, quality rules, data ownership and authorization, etc. This information is essential to promote knowledge sharing and transfer by interested parties, and to ensure compliance with Data Governance policies set by Citi's Chief Data Office (CDO). Beyond supporting data discovery, the Data Catalog tools and standardized metadata are systemically consumed and used to drive data transfer in multiple formats between systems within Citi, as well as externally to Cloud-based solutions used by Citi's clients.
