Applications Development Senior Manager
Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Manager for its Jersey City, New Jersey location.
Duties: Manage system and applications developments to design and integrate new and revised implementations. Analyze and propose technical solutions and use subject matter expertise across multiple areas of applications development to lead the team in the process of solutions design and integration. Develop comprehensive knowledge of the business objectives and operational processes to contribute to strategies formulation and alignment with project initiatives and plan. Manage multiple applications development teams to accomplish established goals through Agile iteration delivery model. Manage and implement the Systems Book of Work (BOW), which includes analysis, planning, design, programming, integration and testing of the systems as specified in the Org Project Management Office (PMO) Charter. Work closely with Functional Leads and PMO in tracking project progression and any escalated events. Improve BOW planning process by recommending and implementing procedural enhancements. Provide user story mapping and product backlog prioritization and management using Jira tools. Consistently measure project progress, quality and benefits, driving process standardization. Monitor applications systems to identify risks and issues, conduct root cause analysis, and generate solutions and appropriate alternatives. Design and implement automated systems monitoring framework. Ensure rigor in system release planning by reviewing systems dependencies, network issues, integration complexities, compliance with policies, and critical path identification. Ensure the systems provide required regulatory reporting. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Technical Manager, Technical Lead, Business Systems Analyst, or related position involving management of applications and systems design, development and implementation in the global financial services or insurance industry. 6 years of experience must include: System release planning, system dependencies, systems integration, system compliance policies, and critical path identification; Reviewing and analyzing technical solutions for projects; Providing technical design and integration of application development across systems; Translating strategies into project initiatives; DevOps experience; and Technologies used Java, J2EE; JavaScript; IBM Websphere Integration Developer; IBM Websphere Message Queue; IBM Websphere Message Broker; Jenkins, Agile Central. 1 year of experience in Duck Creek, Github, Artifactory, SonarQube.
