Managers Control Self-Assessment (MCA) Lead Analyst-VP (Hybrid)
The Business Risk and Control Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the COO Process Owner Governance team, you will play a vital role in supporting the team in ensuring adherence to multiple enterprise frameworks, methodologies, policy standards, principles and practices impacting process ownership. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Process Owner Compliance
- Process and Policy Alignment: Assist in the drafting of standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and training materials.
- Data Gathering and Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to Process Owner performance and compliance metrics. Assist in identifying trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Communication and Outreach: Support communication efforts to Process Owners and stakeholders, including drafting emails, newsletters, and presentations.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and coordinate meetings with Process Owners and stakeholders, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting minutes.
- Assisting in Governance Activities
- Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) Support: Facilitate the execution of the Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) by assisting Process Owners in identifying, documenting, and assessing risks and controls within their processes.
- Process Model Review: Support the review of Process Models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Citi's Enterprise Architecture Methodology (EAM) standards.
- Data Quality Monitoring: Assist in monitoring data quality metrics and identifying data concerns related to Process Owner responsibilities.
- Issue Tracking and Resolution: Track and follow up on issues identified during governance reviews, audits, or self-assessments, ensuring timely resolution.
- Reporting and Metrics: Support the preparation of reports and dashboards to track Process Owner performance and compliance with policy standards.
- Facilitating Training and Awareness
- Training Material Development: Assist in developing training materials and presentations for Process Owners on key policies, standards, and governance requirements.
- Training Coordination: Coordinate training sessions and workshops for Process Owners, tracking attendance and ensuring completion of required training.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain a central repository of knowledge and resources related to Process Owner governance, including policies, standards, procedures, and training materials.
- Project Support
- Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of projects related to Process Owner governance initiatives.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and presentations.
- General Support
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends in process governance.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Process Owner governance operating model.
- Note: This list is not exhaustive and may be subject to change based on the evolving needs of the team and the organization. You will be expected to work collaboratively with your senior management colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the Process Owner governance program.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4-7 years of experience in financial services, risk management, compliance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and data analysis tools. Familiarity with process mapping concepts and project management software (e.g., Visio, Project) and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) systems is a plus.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Process Governance Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of process governance frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory requirements in the financial services industry. Familiarity with process modeling methodologies (e.g., BPMN) is preferred.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Experience in developing, documenting, and implementing policies, procedures, and controls.
- Initiative & Adaptability: Proactive and results-oriented with a proven ability to take initiative, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to a team environment.
- Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
