The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst is responsible for contributing to the directional strategy and assisting in creation and modification of Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy. The focus of this role may be on one or more of the following areas: assisting in identification, measurement and reporting, data policy adoption and compliance, data controls framework performance and issue management process, and regulatory and audit response and action tracking.

This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs. The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and contribute to the team’s information gathering and reporting efforts across various regulatory streams and obligations, Caps, Issues. Proactively ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting and manage duties with a positive and helpful attitude.
  • Partner with beneficiaries of the Compliance and Assurance team (Chief Data Operations Organization, Data Operations Senior Leaders, COO organizations, and other Reporting teams) to ensure alignment to the Firm’s broader processes and procedures.
  • Foster the sharing of industry best practices, to drive collaboration and cohesiveness across stakeholders, and to capture, consolidate content, feedback, and updates on a regular interval.
  • Provide value-added support to Senior Managers as well CDO Organization by streamlining reporting processes and procedures, while actively looking for ways to better inform and improve the overall process.
  • Collect data on reporting efficacy by polling/interviewing end-users/beneficiaries of our efforts, to improve the program, approach and outputs of our team.
  • Gather, synthesize and distill detailed information to deliver crisp and succinct executive-level communication.
  • Assist the leadership team to ensure appropriate measures are in place to monitor and control effectiveness of information gathering and reporting.
  • Support the documentation of the overall process, maintaining and version controlling all process documentation within the Compliance and Assurance team.
  • Deliver on ad-hoc requests pertaining to Chief Data Office – Data Operations leadership requests.
  • Participate in training activities, specific to industry and Regulatory Compliance Processes in order to grow as an expert in the discipline.
  • Brainstorm strategies for growth, positive change and improvement based on the newly formed processes.
  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Data Operation Leadership, and Reporting Teams within the CDO).
  • Proactively take ownership of assigned tasks, training and be timely in execution.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: regulatory reporting, data governance, data quality or data analysis demonstrated through work or military experience.
  • Able to leverage strong business acumen to effectively interact with senior leaders and a broad variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated critical-thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Process design or improvement minded.
  • Experience with enterprise program and initiative reporting.

  • Bachelor's/University degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
