Data Analytics Test Analyst - C13 - IRVING- Hybrid
The Data Analytics Test Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute test cases for data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytical models used in Regulatory Data flows
- Validate data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple data sources and systems.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing for data platforms, and analytics solutions.
- Develop automated testing frameworks for Big Data processing technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.).
- Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to define testing strategies.
- Conduct root cause analysis on data quality issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data governance policies in testing processes.
- Test API integrations and data workflows between various systems (e.g., cloud platforms, data warehouses).
- Document test plans, test cases, and test results in collaboration with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 6 -10 years of experience
- Experience in testing Big Data and other Data & Analytics technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Snowflake, Teradata, etc.).
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Pyspark, Scala, Shell) for test automation.
- Understanding of financial industry data, regulatory report requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks is an added plus
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data security best practices is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
