Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst for its Irving, TX location.

Duties: Develop an architecture design and build a prototype of a batch data ingestion engine using Spark. Work on POC using new technology components to build prototypes and present them to the architecture review board and take approval. Work with vendors to solve and configure infrastructure-related issues in Hadoop and StarBurst clusters. Introduce an agile methodology for project implementation and handling daily status calls. Work on the enhancement of the Order Blotter Report and CitiOne ATS project and supporting applications during NAM hours. Collaborate with the release team to deploy and monitor JAVA/J2EE and Spark applications. Develop applications using Hadoop/big data and JAVA platforms and performance analysis to handle huge data within regulatory commitments. Work with the testing team to test different use cases and debug fixes to deliver error-free and quality products to the business. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation. Six (6) years of experience must include: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process including performing detailed analysis, collecting requirements, coding and unit testing, integration, and system testing; Working in Big Data platform to build data pipelines and process large amounts of data for developing reports and building dashboards; Creating Scheduler jobs using autosys and cron to automate different batch related activities including Data Ingestion, backup verification, monitoring cluster health, disk space, and data validation; Architecture design and developing batch and near real-time data ingestion engine using Spark, Kafka, Scala, Hbase, Hadoop and Java related technology; Working on query performance tuning and big data infrastructure tuning to improve performance of report generation; Using Agile, Scrum, and Engineering Tools to facilitate continuous integration and deployment; and Building and publishing REST API using JAVA/J2EE technologies including Spring Boot for different business and application use cases and working with version control of applications and code using Bitbucket and GIT. 40 hrs./wk.
