The Project Senior Lead is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management of significant projects may manage a department, product or process with a large amount of independence.
  • Identifies stakeholders and key organizations and build and manage relationships with each.
  • Directs the creation of multiple projects of work and manage their alignment to business goals.
  • Leads the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across projects and with Senior Management.
  • Leads the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work.
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives.
  • Works with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives.
  • Drives adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project.
  • Assists project team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the project can be completed.
  • Directs the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Directs the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
  • Develops and exercises business plans, policies and procedures and may also be responsible for various projects to improve efficiencies.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Technical expert and known internally and externally as reliable, knowledgeable resources
  • Clear understanding of the firm's different businesses and the related economics.
  • Demonstrated a consistent track record having worked as a Project Manager, Lead, PMO or department head, managing teams and large, strategic cross-functional projects.
  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP and/or MBA are a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

The Project Senior Lead is accountable for significant direct business results and provides authoritative advice regarding business operations. This position necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy and primarily affects a sub-function. The role involves staff management, including resource management and work allocation within the team/project.

Responsibilities:
•    Act as a client-focused relationship manager, offering concierge support to project sponsors as they navigate internal project management standards and policies.
•    Manage significant projects with a high degree of independence.
•    Identify stakeholders and key organizations, building and managing relationships.
•    Direct the creation of multiple projects and manage their alignment with business goals.
•    Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional topics within and across projects, engaging with Senior Management.
•    Identify and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives.
•    Work with Project Sponsors to ensure business cases and cost-benefit analyses align with business objectives.
•    Drive adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project.
•    Assist project teams in negotiating for resources owned by other departments to ensure project completion.
•    Direct the timely communication of project status, issues, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management.
•    Identify risks impacting project delivery and ensure the development and execution of mitigation strategies.
•    Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures; manage projects to improve efficiencies.
•    Assess risk appropriately, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, ensuring compliance, and escalating control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Remediation, Risk Mitigation, Client Relationship Management, Compliance & Risk Management Experience in Project Management.
  • Advanced English level.
  • People management experience.
  • Technical expert known internally and externally as a reliable, knowledgeable resource.
  • Clear understanding of the firm's various businesses and related economics.
  • Demonstrated track record of success as a Project Manager, Lead, PMO, or department head, managing teams and large, strategic cross-functional projects.
  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP, and/or MBA are a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree required
