C12 AVP project manager– Fund Services

  • The Project Manager is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function.
  • Highly organised professional, capable of managing and co-ordinating a large Book of work
  • Requires in-depth understanding of interdependencies involved in BOW management, with good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good decision maker. Ability to evaluate moderately complex and variable issues to assess potential impacts and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
  • Requires good analytical skills to gather, filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.
  • Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits.
  • Ability to analyse information, summarise, present and communicate clear messaging to a senior audience.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specified projects ensuring consistency with Citi project management governance.
  • Key link between business, vendors and technology for the delivery of Fund Services key priorities, including Digital Transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure all system releases are on track for various application through liaising with Tech, Testing team and application vendors.
  • Ensures creation of project plan and charter benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.
  • Identifies, documents, and understands project dependencies Identify key stakeholders who participate in project scope definition.
  • Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area to resolve issues.
  • Monitor and track execution of projects and programs and escalate program risks affecting delivery to the work effort stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project  delivery and leverage across the projects using the approved Citi SDLC and PTS
  • Collaborate with teams to action deliverables from reviews of each work efforts defined scope, target state, and success criteria to ensure it fully addresses the scope of work.
  • Requirements definition, test user story writing and software testing (If needed)
  • Regularly undertakes a review of processes, policies and procedures to identify process gaps and recommend process updates/ policy & procedure revisions associated with Project Management and Business Compliance
  • Ensures change control is executed throughout project.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Partners with cross function peers to create, administer, track, and eventually close project contracts.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications/ What we’ll need from you:

  • Overall experience of 10+ Year in financial / Banking industry
  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive program/project management or Scrum Master experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Fund services or funds industry a distinct advantage
  • Demonstrate strong business knowledge including the understanding of core businesses, supporting processes and operations.
  • Outstanding problem-solver,  Demonstrates a commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in collaboration across large organizations, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues/requests 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Project Management Certification a plus
