The COB & CM Senior Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • The COB & CM Senior Manager supports the Continuity of Business Office.
  • General management and leadership in a variety of activities.
  • Participate in and advance a wide array of business initiatives, as well as ensure the seamless functioning of the CoB organization.
  • Form trusting relationships with senior executives and influence across Citi’s various Sectors and Regions.
  • Partner with the CoB Program Management and Sector & Region Leads on the communication strategy and materials (e.g. town halls, VOE, committee meetings).
  • Provide program oversight of the CoB tactical and strategic deliverables ensuring quality, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead and coordinate a wide range of activities at the direction of the CoB Head.
  • Partnering with the CoB leadership team to develop and maintain a calendar of activities.
  • Collaborate, plan and organize with and through people to gather information from across the organization and external committees to report and make business recommendations.
  • Facilitates a process to ensure that business continuity plans are viable, executable, implemented and tested.
  • Promotes business continuity awareness and education.
  • Identify gaps in performance and associated risks, recommend corrective actions and partner with stakeholders and management to develop Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience

Citi’s Enterprise Resiliency (ER) organization within Operations & Technology Risk is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a Continuity of Business (CoB) Lead Analyst. The CoB Lead Analyst is responsible for business resiliency of critical business processes and technology, and their availability to customers, third parties, regulators, and other stakeholders during an unplanned event or disruption, in accordance with agreed-upon and consistent service levels. Employees in this job family ensure: Business Recovery Plans are viable, executable, implemented, tested, and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders. They also ensure appropriate CoB considerations are incorporated into technology and business planning, for example staffing, facilities, equipment and suppliers. In the event of a business or technology disruption, they identify, prioritize, protect, and restore critical business processes. CoB safeguard Citi’s staff, business operations, and technology under a diverse set of conditions.

Citi’s Enterprise Resiliency organization is seeking a Business Continuity Lead Analyst to support the U.S. Personal Banking and Wealth business sectors. The position requires a candidate with the ability to lead a variety of activities. The successful candidate will participate in and advance a wide array of CoB initiatives. The candidate must be able to form trusting relationships with senior executives and influence U.S. Personal Banking and Wealth Sector outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides and supports oversight of the ER Policy and Standard deliverables ensuring quality, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinates a wide range of ER activities to implement Operational Resilience and CoB Programs including: Assessment, Planning, Testing, Maintenance, Quality Review, Crisis Management, Training, Awareness, Communications, Monitoring and Reporting.
  • Assist with reviews of third-party vendor relationships and any remediation activities
  • Partners with the ER leadership and central teams to maintain a calendar of activities to ensure a timely completion of all policy requirements.
  • Interacts with business and technology management to understand future business strategy and ER needs, ensuring relevant documentation accounts for changes that occur.
  • Facilitates a process to ensure that ER documentation is viable, executable, implemented and tested.
  • Collaborate and network to gather information internal and external to the organization to help guide business recommendations.
  • Promotes Enterprise Resilience training and awareness.
  • Perform gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to existing ER frameworks.
  • Develop and document current-state and future-state recovery strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices
  • Will have knowledge of organizational controls, tracking and monitoring requirements, ensuring risks are reported and escalated to Risk & Control Leads when gaps in performance and associated risks are identified.  Recommends Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and / or Risk Exceptions (REs).
  • Support Internal Audit reviews and/or internal Control reviews.
  • Assists with crisis management support during disruptive events.
  • Coordinate business participation in CoB testing to fulfill crisis management, business, technology, supplier and other testing as needed.

  • Good understanding of the business and financial drivers for U.S. Personal Banking and Wealth.
  • Exposure to U.S. Personal Banking and Wealth disciplines such as Retail, Branch, Cards, Credit, Collections, Mortgage, Digital, Fraud, Operations and Technology.
  • Other relevant experience in financial services that requires analytical skills.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Track record as a strong analyst and recognized as able to deliver work in pressured environments
