The IT Sr Function Group Manager manages multiple teams of senior professionals through other senior managers. The job requires a broad and comprehensive understanding of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to a function as well as practical experience of multiple business cycles. In-depth knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/services is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/ or area of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to influence a wide range of audiences. The job is likely to be involved in both internal and external negotiations which will have a major impact on the area managed, and possibly on other related areas and organization as a whole. Develops medium- to long-term plans and executes functional strategies for a large/complex country, cluster of countries, or business requiring coordination and integration across units. Provides input into strategic decisions affecting job family or function within a region or business.Full management responsibility of multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning. Has authority to negotiate and make independent decisions on issues/activities that have critical impact or influence on company revenues, capital or business operations. Typically, a direct report to an EB role and sits on the highest functional leadership team within a region,, or global business.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures managed areas are defining and implementing systems that are aligned with business strategy and goals. Involved in a wide range of diverse activities that require strategic vision and analysis.
- Applies a broad and comprehensive understanding in multiple functional areas and their underlying business principles.
- Understands how own function integrates within the overall organization to contribute to achieving business objectives; requires a good working knowledge of the industry.
- Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources.
- Impacts the function by exercising control over sizable resources / budget, policy formulation and planning; has significant influence over future strategy.
- Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions); communicates with external parties.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in multiple technology disciplines with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.
- Budget management, Risk & Control management, influencing skills
- Managerial Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
Liderar la estrategia tecnológica que habilite y transforme el negocio de Banca Comercial en México, garantizando una operación segura, eficiente y alineada con las metas comerciales del banco, abarcando todas las capas tecnológicas: front (canales digitales) middle (onboarding y originacion), risk (modelos, cumplimiento normativo, scoring, manejo de garantias) y backend especifico de la Banca Comercial (supplier finance, trade finance, etc).
Responsabilidades clave:
· Diseñar e implementar la hoja de ruta tecnológica para Banca Comercial en México, alineada a la estrategia corporativa.
· Asegurar la disponibilidad, escalabilidad y resiliencia de los sistemas que soportan la operación comercial.
· Coordinar el desarrollo e implementación de soluciones tecnológicas para originación, atención, manejo de riesgos crediticios, seguimiento y cobranza de productos comerciales (comercio exterior, factoring, etc.).
· Liderar la transformación digital de procesos comerciales, integrando APIs, plataformas de nube, automatización y analítica avanzada.
· Asegurar el cumplimiento de regulaciones locales aplicables (CNBV, Banxico, Ley de Protección de Datos Personales, entre otras).
· Colaborar con las áreas de Riesgos, Negocio, Cumplimiento y Jurídico para entregar soluciones integradas que respondan a requerimientos internos y regulatorios.
· Gestionar proveedores tecnológicos estratégicos y contratos de servicios en México.
· Fomentar un modelo operativo ágil (Scrum, DevOps), con foco en entregas de valor continuo.
· Participar en comités ejecutivos, de arquitectura y priorización tecnológica.
Perfil requerido:
· Licenciatura en Ingeniería en Sistemas, Tecnologías de la Información, Ciencias Computacionales o afín. Deseable Maestría o MBA.
· Mínimo 10 años de experiencia en tecnología bancaria, incluyendo al menos 5 años en liderazgo de soluciones para banca comercial.
· Sólido entendimiento del ecosistema financiero mexicano, productos comerciales y su regulación.
· Experiencia liderando proyectos tecnológicos con impacto en canales digitales, riesgo operativo, originación y sistemas core bancarios.

· Conocimiento técnico en arquitecturas cloud (Azure, AWS o GCP), APIs, microservicios, y marcos ágiles (Scrum, SAFe).
· Habilidad de negociación con áreas de negocio, visión estratégica y liderazgo de equipos multidisciplinarios.
Indicadores clave de desempeño (KPIs):
1. Disponibilidad de plataformas críticas (core + canales): ≥99.9% mensual.
2. Cumplimiento regulatorio (CNBV, Banxico, Ley Fintech): 100% sin observaciones mayores.
3. Entrega oportuna de proyectos de transformación: ≥90% entregados en tiempo y presupuesto.
4. Reducción de incidencias en sistemas de Banca Comercial: -10% anual.
5. Índice de satisfacción de usuarios internos (IT-Business Alignment): ≥85%.
6. Mantener las plataformas soportadas en cumplimientos con las métricas de higiene de la organización: ≥94%
