The Payment Operations Lead / Cash Management Lead is expected to work closely with the Payment Operations Head to deliver key initiatives, address industry requirements, represent the Bank in external and internal forums that may involve, regulators, cluster and global leads.

Key aspects of the role would include management of the Cash Operations team covering the following products in the payments domain: Fund Transfer, Foreign Exchange related transactions, Time Deposit, Check Issuance / Paylink, PDDTS Settlement and Collection Services.

One of the main objective and goal of the Lead is to manage the daily operations and ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures. All commitments to clients are to be delivered accurately and timely. While delivering client commitments, it is important that key risk area of the Operations including capacity planning.

The lead is expected to be the main point of contact to manage the production team, lead critical projects related to transformation and shift to digital payments.  There will be cross functional alignment and partnering with key service centers supporting the country for select processes.  All of these activities to be closely coordinated with the Payment Operations head.



Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations for multiple teams and several unit supervisors and ensure teams meet performance and quality expectations
  • Manage staff resource allocation while assisting with the development and oversight of the budget
  • Resolve complex and highly variable issues with significant departmental impact
  • Evaluate performance and make recommendations for training/development, pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining workflow standards
  • Contribute to the objectives of the entire Transaction Services function
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in a related senior level role with experience in trade / cash operations and management
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing processes that result in improved business performance
  • Effective verbal and written communication and analytical skills


Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

  • The Lead is expected to drive improvements in processes, support automation initiatives and reduce manual processes.
  • Participation and leading industry discussions will form part of the responsibilities under Payment Operations
  • As controls is a key factor for Citi, the lead is responsible in ensuring all relevant controls are being adhered and validated periodically.
