Funding & Investment Management Business Execution Lead C15/Dir - CHARLOTTE
Citi Treasury Investments (CTI) operates within Corporate Treasury. CTI invests in high quality liquid securities (HQLA) and Non HQLA securities, as governed by Asset and Liability Committee, to meet various regulatory liquidity requirements. CTI manages the firm's interest rate risk and improves returns in accordance with the Non-Trading Market Risk Management limit framework. CTI’s activity includes the management and execution of the CTI portfolio, the management of the USD interest rate risk for Citi’s accrual business, the USD and Non-USD derivative programs, the third-party funding and internal US dollar funding to various legal entities & businesses.
The Treasury Funding and Investments Principal Lead will be part of the Business Execution team and will support CTI’s Leadership Team to manage the investment of Citi’s major liquidity portfolios, raise long term debt and capital along with the return of capital to shareholders through the share repurchase program.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Investment Securities Portfolio Desk Heads of both HQLA and Non-HQLA securities including SSAs, MBS, US Treasuries, Non-$ Government Securities, Credit.
- Close collaboration with Management regarding the firm's interest rate risk and improvement of returns in accordance with the Non-Trading Market Risk Management (NTMR) limit framework.
- Support Senior Management in the oversight of the investment of global surplus liquidity pools, the firm’s short- and long-term borrowing programs as well as Citi's capital programs such as preferred stock issuance and common stock repurchase.
- Support Senior management in implementing investment strategies to optimize returns and mitigate risk, execution of Capital Markets activity, execution of interest rate and FX derivative activities and related hedge programs
- Liaise with senior governance bodies and ensure alignment with key partners in Compliance, Legal and Regulatory and senior governance committees.
- Support Senior Leaders to Design, implement, execute governance frameworks, activities, and material preparation for governance committees such as Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) to ensure compliance with applicable internal policies and standards.
- Work with key business, Technology, and Operations stakeholders to lead the development of business growth opportunities, process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects.
- Provide thought leadership to peers and program leaders in the implementation and adoption of frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
- Partner with Risk & Controls team to maintain and enhance an effective internal control’s structure.
- Manage key Business Execution activities including desk support, P&L and Economic Value affirmation, process and control enhancements as well as Business aligned project execution and strategic firm-wide initiatives.
- Act as strategic site manager to manage multiple team members and/or through other managers under different Desk and responsibilities.
- Conduct all aspects of people management such as hiring, team building, development, performance management, and compensation as appropriate
- Provide expert guidance for a variety of broad based and complex issues related to business processes, initiatives and execution of controls
- Acts as subject matter expert related to the management and execution of key system migration efforts in line with strategic Citi architecture
- Support CTI Data manager as related subject matter expert on behalf of business to ensure consistency with new Citi Data Governance Policy efforts
Qualifications:
- Experience in managing highly visible, complex initiatives and programs.
- In-Depth understanding of Treasury, Funding, Investments and Markets.
- Technical problem-solving skills and ability to identify conflicts, discrepancies and other issues and bring together the right teams to solution them.
- Demonstrated leadership and management abilities with a strong focus on driving the transformation programs.
- Deep knowledge of Treasury and Investments, along with understanding of regulatory, compliance, risk management and financial management concerns
- Strategic mindset, ability to plan to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies.
- Manage through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
- Communicates effectively; develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of needs of different audiences.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency, passion for results and personal accountability for achievement.
- Able to navigate through a large organization to streamline and summarize multiple information points and create repeatable processes to build consistency in presenting information.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and tasks in a complex and dynamic and work well as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; Previous experience interacting and working with Senior Leaders
- 12+ years of relevant experience in Treasury and Investments.
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science, Master's degree or CFA preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
