Hungary Country HR Officer
The Country HR Officer (CHRO) will lead the HR function for Hungary – the Bank and the Citi Solution Center, with the highest standard and quality of HR service, ensuring end to end delivery of HR governance and professional HR services. The CHRO will focus on embedding the new operating model in HR but also review the roles and responsibilities of various parts of HR to ensure quality delivery and optimisation of existing local processes and relationships. The CHRO will develop and implement respective HR strategies and synergies to support the business, providing support and guidance to the CCO and Business heads.
Responsibilities:
Develop positive relationships through consulting, supporting and advising the CCO and Banking Business Heads to ensure optimum delivery of business and HR goals.
Be an ambassador of the HR model. Build relationships and partner with all HR colleagues, multiple senior-level HRAs and relevant disciplines partners, to help ensure the efficient delivery of end-to-end quality processes to managers and employees.
Work closely with the Reward team to ensure regulatory, compensation, pension and benefit plans are aligned with Company philosophy/approach and local market.
Partner with both the global HR team to execute HR initiatives in talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, employee relations, performance management, talent development and organizational effectiveness.
Represent Citi HR on various external industry bodies and networks also acting as direct point of contact for local regulator on HR matters.
Drive enhanced performance and talent management practices focusing on succession planning, critical role’s and the development of high-potential employees.
Ensure the function operates within an effective governance model and well-controlled environment. This is a critical aspect of the role and the CHRO is required to partner with the HR Control discipline to ensure audit deadlines are met and issues are acted upon with the required sense of urgency.
Ensure best practice company policy and local employment legislation is pursued in all labour relations matters.
Manage overall HR governance, regulatory and legislative responsibility for HR initiatives on both an internal and external basis.
Support the process of ensuring that HR policies and processes are compliant with regulatory requirements, external reporting regulations and demonstrate best practice in terms of corporate governance, in partnership with global function partners and cluster HR teams.
Understand and proactively manage risk, compliance, and the audit environment across all areas.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made.
Support diversity and inclusion initiatives across the country.
Experience/Knowledge:
Master’s degree with at least 10 years of experience in HR leadership role; experience with shared business services organization is an advantage.
Experience in leading the HR function of an organization.
HR Generalist experience, preferably in a global/complex/matrix organization.
Advanced level of Hungarian and English language knowledge (fluent in both, verbal and written).
Fluent in Hungarian Labor code, and aware of local social, tax and other policies and regulations as relevant.
Track record of delivering results and meeting plans in a busy environment.
Commercial awareness and a solid understanding of how HR adds value to the business.
Proven ability working within a remote HR operating model.
Experience in a broad range of HR areas.
