The Technical Implementation Specialist is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within our industry and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in withing their realm of responsibility. This specific role sits within our Client On-Boarding Team which is part of our Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business and will support our North American client base. We work with a wide range of corporate clients around the globe, many of which are household names, to help enable their day-to-day banking needs across a broad range of products (e-commerce, payments to suppliers, collections from customers, payroll, treasury funding, supply chain financing, corporate credit cards for travel expenses, etc.). Our team helps client access these products and services digitally, setting up interfaces between our client’s systems and ours utilizing our award-winning digital banking suite of products – CitiConnect API, CitiConnect for Files, CitiConnect for SWIFT and CitiDirect.
Responsibilities:
Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-client, multi-project environment where you will be responsible for providing overall end-to-end ownership of the technical solution and client delivery.
- Partnering with our Sales teams to help our clients understand our products and technical capabilities to make sure they get the most out of the technical solution they are looking to implement.
- Proactively assesses appropriate solutions and manages risks. Ensures timely escalation and mitigation of risks to avoid impact to project delivery.
- Ensures the best client implementation experience in all projects by organizing all internal and external project related activities for a timely and smooth delivery. Resolves client concerns and escalates as appropriate.
- Able to prioritize multiple projects, closely monitors progress and follows up accordingly. Leverages metrics to evaluate performance and find optimization opportunities.
- Appropriately assess potential risks when business decisions are made, specifically accounting for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Configuring Citi’s applications in accordance with the technical solution that is being delivered and owning the engagement of internal and 3rd party teams as required to get the setup completed on time and to our client’s requirements.
- Supporting our clients through their DEV / SIT / UAT / QC testing utilizing our dedicated Customer Test Environment to give ‘real-life’ validation and provide clients with confidence that the solution we have configured is working as expected.
- Coordinating the change management process to deploy a client’s configuration and setup into our live environment and support our clients through initial production verification testing (PVT)
- Partnering with our Project Management team who will be responsible for providing the overall governance for the client engagement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6-10 years of experience
- Must be fluent in English for both verbal and written communications
- Exceptional communicator – must be comfortable speaking with people of varying levels of seniority and technical knowledge both internally and externally.
- Technical acumen – Formal technical background not required but must be comfortable diving into technical discussions, understanding technical documentation, and working through the resolution of technical challenges.
- Empowered – you will act as the single technical point of contact to interface with the Client and adamantly represent our Client’s interests internally. You will need to be comfortable in pushing our internal partners across technology, operations, and product in getting the desirable results to deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Bonus points if you have any of these skills / experiences: System integration – getting systems speaking to each other, XML – a familiarity with the message format, API / webservices – building or designing interfaces, Payments (e.g. ACH, FedWire, SWIFT / Instant Payment Schemes, etc.)
Education:
- Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
