Are you a strategic, results-oriented data leader passionate about transforming the future of financial services? Join our Analytics & Information Management (AIM) organization as the Operations MIS Lead (SVP - C14) and play a pivotal role in enabling operational excellence and driving strategic decision-making across US Personal Banking (USPB).

This highly visible and impactful leadership position offers the opportunity to shape the future of our data and reporting landscape. As a recognized thought leader with a deep understanding of financial services operations and a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, you will spearhead strategic Reporting initiatives that empower Operations to understand business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and achieve unprecedented levels of efficiency and effectiveness.

You will lead a talented team of MIS and data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, while leveraging your exceptional Data Engineering, Visualization, and Analytical skills to deliver impactful solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision and Execution: Develop and champion a clear vision for data and reporting within Operations, aligning with overall business strategy. Demonstrate proven experience in executing on data and reporting transformation projects, driving significant improvements in data quality, accessibility, and usability.
  • Data Engineering Leadership: Oversee and guide data engineering efforts to ensure data quality, integrity, accessibility, and efficient data pipelines for analysis and reporting.
  • Data Visualization Leadership: Lead the creation of compelling data visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Reporting Strategy and Delivery: Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting solutions that provide Operations with a clear understanding of business performance, key trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Automation & GenAI Enablement: Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline data processes and reporting workflows. Explore and leverage Generative AI technologies to enhance data analysis, reporting, and insight generation, positioning us at the forefront of innovation.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Develop and present data-driven strategic recommendations to senior leadership, influencing key decisions and driving positive change within the organization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders in Operations, acting as a trusted advisor and influencing their thinking on data-driven strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of MIS and data professionals, including resource management, talent development, and allocation of work within the team/project.
  • Technical Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of technical strategies related to data and information management, data engineering, and data visualization, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Risk Management: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 13+ years of progressive experience in data/information management, analytics, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading and executing successful data and reporting transformation projects.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the financial services industry and banking operations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Exceptional strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to drive business results and create a compelling vision for the future of data and reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical, technical, and/or statistical skills with a proven ability to translate large volumes of data information into actionable insights.
  • Data Engineering Skills: Deep understanding of data engineering principles, including data warehousing, ETL processes, data architecture, and data quality management.
  • Data Visualization Skills: Expertise in data visualization tools and techniques, with the ability to create compelling and informative dashboards and reports (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Communication and Influence: Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build consensus around data-driven strategies.
  • Thought Leadership: Demonstrated thought leadership in the field of data and analytics, with the ability to develop and articulate a clear vision for data-driven decision-making and inspire others to embrace data-driven approaches.
  • Automation & GenAI Skills: Experience with automation tools and techniques for data processing and reporting. Familiarity with Generative AI technologies and their potential applications in data analysis and reporting.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Education:
    • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering).
    • Preferred: Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Information Management).
