What do we Offer:
As part of Citi Retail Services team, we support analytical functions across cards business of retail partner, primarily focusing on marketing analytics. Few notables among the multiple areas we work in:
- Customer lifecycle management: Design and implement strategies to improve customer experience and drive revenue, spanning across all 3 stages of customer lifecycle – acquisition, ECM and Retention
- Campaign Execution/Offer optimization: Design, test and implement innovative and customer-centric offers tailored to drive customer delight and grow engagement
- Digital: Trace customer’s digital journey with Citi, design strategies to make digital experience more engaging and drive revenue through low cost digital channels
- Revenue/Financial forecasting: Design, maintain and enhance P&L forecasting for all products & portfolios, ensure strict adherence to accounting standards and accurate forecasting techniques to help product managers plan better
This position is responsible for providing Decision Management support for Field Analytics, Sales growth and Planning strategy across the franchise portfolios within Citi Retail Services. The candidate will provide strategic insights to management based on analytics in order to achieve profitable sales growth and exceed business goals. This person may analyze prospects, customer, and marketing campaign information and conduct strategic analyses to explore growth opportunities through department shopping patterns, loyalty, rewards, sales growth and balance growth programs across the portfolios. The position may also conduct segmentation and targeting analytics in order to optimize marketing campaign performance and identify opportunities to increase partner sales, credit penetration, and balances.
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Partner with portfolio DM managers to deliver analytic solutions to business initiatives.
- Conduct segmentation analytics and develop targeting tools for sales growth and across the customer Life Cycle. Develop experimental test design, campaign performance tracking and recommend changes in strategies.
- Work with business partners managing various marketing programs, identify and execute opportunities to optimize marketable universe, offers and/or campaign performance. Interpret analytic findings and formulate recommendations to share with key decision makers.
- Provide analytics that facilitate appropriate marketing investment decisions to optimize marketing investment returns while maximizing partner sales. Provide analytic support to PRW process.
- Develop analytics that identify opportunities to grow partner sales through a variety of channels and offers.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses as needed.
Expertise Required:
Analytical Skills
- Basic Statistics
- Hypothesis testing, A/B testing, Segmentation
- Proficient in Formulating Analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data and providing actionable insights to the business stakeholders
- Ability to handle complex data and generate meaningful business insights
- Knowledge of Banking, Credit Card Industry, Marketing Analytics would be an advantage
Tools and Platforms
- Proficient SAS/SQL programming skills and advanced spreadsheet skills. Knowledge and experience of segmentation, statistical procedures, financial modeling and analytic tools (SAS E-Miner, Knowledge Seeker, etc.) are required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including strong PowerPoint skills to develop analytic presentations.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytic ability and problem solving skills to proactively address business questions with innovative data driven solutions.
- Ability to identify, clearly articulate and solve complex business problems and present them to the management in a structured and simpler form
- Effective presentation and communication skills with the ability to summarize analytic findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, both at the peer and management level, internally and externally.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, flexible and adaptive to matrix work environment.
- Ability to build partnerships with cross-functional teams in order to drive optimal business solutions through collaboration.
Educational and Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of financial services experience in analytic role is required. Private Label Credit/Co-Brand experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline is required (i.e. Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or Engineering).
